    I can't stand Canelo and I'll tell you why. When GGG was #1 ranked MW and in line to fight Martinez, Golden Boy cut him off and stole the title bid out from under him. Ever since them team Canelo has done everything they could to make a mockery of the MW title. Everything from fighting under the weight limit (making opponents as well), pulling up lighter fighters, and just doing everything he can to duck Golovkin. Boxing should be about the best fighters not pretty boys and their sale-ability. Had Golvkin been current lineal champ Canelo would stay at 154 for ever.

    I'd probably give Canelo the slight edge against all those guys except Saunders and maybe Jacobs. But I don't think he'd go through that line-up without losing at least 1 or 2.

    m8 in the start you say Khan started controlling and throwing combinations confusing Canelo and you literally show him punching the air because Canelo was avoiding every god damn punch (around 1 minute mark)

    wtf was that?

    Maybe a slight edge but he isnt head and shoulders over the 160 cream and he certainly would be way out of his element at 168

    I think he may be in for a rude awakening given how tough of a situation he has put himself in

    We're basically on the same page.

    I forget if it was this thread or another, but I mentioned that if Canelo cannot secure a cash cow bout (Pac, Floyd II, Cotto II), then he probably needs to look GGG's direction now, because it's clear he cannot make 155 much longer and it's also clear he's not talented enough to beat every middleweight not named Golovkin.

    Great videos and I love you have fight footage in them . . But Why does CTS get a call out. Whose he beaten?

    I'm 20-0 against him in boxing debate. I shoulda got the honour above him. And there's loads ahead of me deserving of the shot

    Well, CST80 has twice helped me do a little ground work on Kovalev, and he is more knowledgeable than me on a lot of the finer details involving Kovalev. Pretty sure I've also given a shout out to Boxed Ears, too - the former our resident expert on Kovalev, and the latter our resident expert on all things SNV.

    He is too scared of Golovkin as we speak they are coming up with a plan to sell to the public why they ducked the fight even though no one will buy it

    Depends on what you mean by "no one will buy it". Because if Canelo winds up having a fight with Pac, or a rematch with Cotto, or a rematch with Floyd - well, I'm inclined to imagine that hundreds of thousands of more people would buy those fights than Canelo-Golovkin.

    You could be right though, but I think that depends on who Canelo winds up facing next if not Golovkin.

    I would say that each organization probably has some preference towards some boxers and they tend to help them out as much as the maneuvering space allows them.

    In this particular case, there is no more room for maneuvering, as the WBC ruling is crystal clear (and also according to the WBC rules) that Alvarez has to face Golovkin or vacate.

    Let's not forget that many people expected Wilder to seek WBC/IBF unification in order to avoid or delay the Povetkin fight, since we all know that IBF has that rule where unification takes priority over mandatory. However, WBC doesn't have that rule and therefore it was impossible for WBC to allow Wilder-Martin without getting sued.

    There would be no reason for the organization to clearly break their own rules, get sued, lose money and then be forced to reverse the decision. They can be as sneaky as they are allowed to be.

    However, technically there is still a scenario where Canelo keeps his WBC and doesn't fight GGG. That happens in case Golovkin once again allows Canelo to take an interim fight, or if he simply vacates his WBC Interim title and gives up the mandatory position (I don't see either one happening to be honest).
