Lets sort this out once and for all Ward only "appeared" to show interest

These guys think GGG should have pulled out of a ppv WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP fight to split hairs with a well-known diva who would need several tune-ups before requesting an arena in Oakland with his cousins as judges. :nut A diva who could barely make 168 ...

 

Both are to blame. Both were trying to fight the same guys (Froch and Chavez Jr) at one point and GGG repeatedly said he wanted Cotto or Alvarez.

The issue some have with Golovkin is that they previously said ANYONE from 154 to 175 and gave the impression they were chasing greatness, when what they really meant was that they wanted money fights. Makes perfect sense, but it is a bit of false advertising.

Props to Ward for (at somepoint apparently) fighting Kovalev but his activity and opponent selection of late is embarrasing. Golovkin had more momentum behind him than Kovalev did,yet Ward was not interested in fighting at 160 and expected Ggg to come up to 168. I personally think ggg should have (if he was this huge conqueror that he is marketed to be) but it certainly is no duck, otherwise the same rules apply to ward for not offering to go down.

Ward was not willing to take the risk shedding the weight and ggg was not willing to risk a cotto/canelo money fight. At 160 Ward gets slept and at 168 Ward UD's Golovkin. I'm slightly more disappointed in ggg because even if Ward trounces him at 168, a cotto or Canelo fight suddenly is far more likely to happen. Neither Ward nor GGG are "ducking" though.

 

Why would Ward fight a guy two divisions below? You same guys who rag on his iinactivity and recent opposition would say he was picking on a smaller man. And GGG's good enough that Ward could lose, so it would be a no win challenge. He's fighting Kovalev, and that's the way better, more meaningful fight.

 

Those people are, to this day, just as proud of their recommendation to GGG to give up being Canelo's mandatory in favor of facing Ward on all of Andre's terms.

 

But then Ward gets called out on it all the time and he acts ignorant..that's why he lost 3 times in court the judge scolded him the 3rd time..he seems not to understand people are smart

GGG asked since 2012. 4 years .. 4 long years. When did Ward show interest? 20 minutes after the Lemieux fight was signed.

Ward doesn't deserve a payday against GGG as Haye doesn't deserve it against Fury. Glad he will retire after Kovalev knocks him out.

 

Neither of them were serious about this fight man get real. No one legitimately talked.

 

ya..kind of hard to talk when the other side responds "not interested" when you approach them

like ive said...ward said in july he was ready...so ggg and his fans claim that when ward actually approached(and it could be true) they had the lemieux fight done.....ok...i can buy that

so why not say "ok well we have lemieux fight..its our first ppv event were excited about that...we have some other ideas of what we wanna do after...but if we cant get those done wed be interested"....so you finish the lemieux fight and start talking to those parties and then if they arent serious you can look at ward...and still make a fight by april of 2016....instead loeffler says "we have other ideas....gotta be 164....but it might be possible in 2017 maybe"

meanwhile...now...hes saying things like "if we cant get canelo or bjs i think zurdo ramirez is the best fight out there"

ggg fans keep saying "when the lemieux fight was over they had talks with canelo" or "canelo fight on the horizon"......yet that fight never came to fruition and it might not again........it shows you ggg isnt interested in being special....hes interested in banking on someone like canelo

 

Anybody who can't see that GGG blatantly ducked Ward DKSAB.

the other half are like "it made no sense....wards too big...wards too good....they had other fights they wanted...why would they fight ward when they can fight canelo how does that make sense..."
