By soaking it up and hitting him back until he'd won.:deal
Holy is no Spinks(Great LH,but small and scared against Tyson) or Berbick(weak, paper champ).
Tucker and Bonecrusher went the distance with prime Tyson, but Holy would have likely gone down? How?Never understood that.:huh
    Holy stops that version too.:bbb

it is a close call for me, both of these guys in their prime were awesome fighters. its either a holyfield win by decision or tyson 6/7 round knockout.

I think your grammar is being criticised. You wrote "your ****ing ignorant", I think the correct grammar is "you're ****ing ignorant" or "you are ****ing ignorant". The poster was not questioning your boxing knowledge.

My dad was bald at 20.
My brother is nearly there at 24.
    That doesn't mean a thing.

Tyson would have never beat Holyfield at any time. Tyson is the most over rated heavy of all time, he was great at beating up bums but always lost when he faced great fighters.

  8. :good Im sick of all the lost Tyson ball-huggers, Tyson coulda., woulda shoulda, yada'yada yada, Holy was always superior to Tyson, and that will probaly haunt Tyson to his Grave, Holy, had way more Heart, grit, stamina and chin and a Warrior never say die Mentality, that Tyson sorely lacked:-( Tyson was the most over-rated Heavy ever..

I have no doubts, none whatever, that a 1991-92 version of Holyfield would have beaten the 1991-92 version of Tyson in what would have amounted to a better fight than their long overdue 1996 showdown.

The Buster Douglas who fought Tyson would have a good chance of beating any version of Tyson also.

Maybe Tyson took the fight lightly - but Douglas still hammered him.

Oliver McCall who sparred many rounds as Tyson's sparring partner and fought Lennox Lewis twice said the best fighter he ever been in the ring with was..........................

    Buster Douglas

McCall said Douglas had a superb jab and he lost to Douglas in a 10 round decsion

and like tyson was anywhere near as good. :patsch

holyfield had been active in that time.

tyson had been doing jack in a prison cell.

tyson was nowhere near as good after prison.

    worse stamina, slower.

no way does pre prison tyson gas out the way tyson did in 96. :nono

I agree, there is loads of stuff ive got wrong over the years, but i always thought Holyfield would beat Tyson.Even when Mike was at his best.In 1992 the fight would have been exactly the same as in 1996.
