But it's purely a reputation thing. Negotiations were ongoing prior to Khan announcing he was fighting Alvarez. Out of the two on paper Brook would seem the more winnable fight and it's likely he'd have been paid a similar ammount to what he got v Alvarez. So what's the logic in taking the more difficult fight of the two when the rewards of winning both would be the same.

He would be a legit Belt holder at his natural weight. He wouldn't need to travel to the states as he would be fighting in his homeland. It would create a buzz that would rival Froch Groves and I don't think ticket sales would be too much different. It would be a great spectable for the whole of British boxing but he won't even entertain it.

I can't see why any British boxing fan would want to make excuses/look for reasons for why the fight wouldn't happen now. In no way could anybody describe it as a mismatch. A world title is on the line in boxing's strongest division over the past couple of decades. Styles make fights and it would hardly be likely for it to be a borefest.
