It's a term used for anyone who has limited muscle definition - and by that I mean they are not big hulking mammoths. Hard gainers. People who can eat tuna pizzas and drink chocolate milk etc and who cannot put a single pound on. This is factually correct, in fact. Boxed Ears and I talk about this regularly. You should all send him a PM for more details as he loves to talk about it.
Sounds like the definition here is speed and reflexes. Couldn't you say the same for less fast fighters who rely on timing moreso than speed. Ggg. Strength is an athletic attribute. He's not doing anything that makes you say wow. But the effect of his punch does. Some guys look athletic but aren't. Homes had a weird shape and not so fluid movement. But he was fast and had great timing. I think the term athletic is too broad. Sent from my XT1563 using Tapatalk
This is as close to the actual definition pro athletes, coaches etc use. Being athletic, means you're able to excel in many separate sports and events that take a high level of physical ability
The ability to do well in different sports. Should be well coordinated and be able to run fast, run long and jump high. Usually in boxing I think of athletic guys as guys that move well. Martinez for example.
Yep. Limber, quick, smooth, and able to hop from one position to the next with ease. Keith Thurman is more athletic than Danny Garcia. Andre Ward is more athletic than Carl Froch. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is more athletic than Antonio Margarito. And so on.
