Beterbiev returns - what chance does he have against Kovalev if they fight in 2017?

campillo lands on his ass for the third knockdown vs kovalev and the ref waves it. campillo could have easily beat the 10 count he was just finished.

he crumpled to the ground vs beterbiev.

I think kovalev might be a little quicker than kovalev with his punches though. he landed way more shots against campillo than beterbiev did.

landing more punches and the guy being tko'd and would have been able to continue but it would be dumb for the ref to allow it.

vs beterbiev he was knocked out before he landed. :)

You know what the score in amateurs was for Kovalev-Beterbiev? 25-24 Beterbiev, in a region that favored Beterbiev, when he had all the money and the hype. That is basically a draw, back when Kovalev wasn't all that great and Beterbiev was dominant, since then Kovalev has gotten far better in every facet of his game, whereas Beterbiev seems to have regressed slightly.

And if Beterbiev is such a beast and KO'd all these guys in the ams, which he was, then why didn't he stop this glass jawed Kovalev you speak of either time they faced each other?

Brag all you want, the reality is had the Kovalev-Campillo match lasted any longer Campillo would have been unconscious as well. Kovalev can' help it that his light taps drop guys, which doesn't give him the chance to proper KO them sometimes.:deal

he's a turkic muslim. it was not held in an area where he was favoured lol. that's like saying a jew got a favoured decision over a muslim in palestan. think about your post for a second.

and power vs power. one guy hurt someone. the other knocked him out.
I understand you are a troll but try a little harder.. jesus

Hey ******* the fight was held in Yakutsk, Russia, which is where the Yakut people live, you know....as in the Turkic Yakut people.:deal

Have you ever heard of being shot to s***? Browne KO1'd Campillo with a body shot in his next fight, I guess that means Browne hits harder than both of them right?

you were the one that brought the campillo fight up. You more than likely have a learning disability.

Says the guy who almost always types in lower case letters.

Campillo lasted a round longer, what do you think the probable outcome of the Kovalev match would have been had Campillo been allowed to continue into the 4th? Kovalev was landing glancing blows and he was dropping him left and right, Beterbiev was landing thudding shots and Campillo took them well until he caught him with the last one. And that match took place after he went 9 rounds with Fonfara and was KO'd and stopped the very heavy handed Thomas Williams Jr. because of a cut, so he'd taken a lot more damage overall since the Kovalev match. If you think there's any definitive evidence that Beterbiev has heavier hands, it must be you with the learning disability.

It's okay Kenny you don't have to a give full on BJ to everyone who fights out of Canada.:good

AB is too stiff, Kov will get in better position and deliver more snap on his punch

That would be a hell of a fight. Crazy fight. Let's everybody pray god (or Allah) for that fight to happen.

Kovalev will learn how to behave in that fight.

One of the "must" fights. Both are extremely powerful and excellent boxers. Beterbiev probably hits harder with single punches, but Kovalev is a volume puncher and the better technician. I have Kova out-boxing Beterbiev for the first eight rounds, probably stooping him late, once Arthur gets exhausted trying to blast Sergey out of the ring. Beterbiev has a chance throughout the whole fight though - his punches could bring down cruiserweights. For me 60/40 for Kovalev.

Kovalev by knockout!!! At this stage of his career, he is a much better boxer. Beterbiev has been off for a year or more because of surgery, it will take time for him to get back where he was. Ward should fight Stevenson and Beterbiev for tune-ups before he fights Kovalev, although Ward has not signed a contract yet.............

That's why I said in 2017 - Beterbiev plans to fight three times this year.

    Very good post,mate:goodWell spoken!

Sure,Beterbiev is a warrior,a very dangerous opponent for every top dog at his weight division.Kovalev is not flawless,to put it this way.He surely has to put his best foot forward to beat Beterbiev. However,I for my part am totally confident that he will find a way to beat Beterbiev by wide point decision.Kovalev has gone the distance of 12 rounds and 28 pro fights under his belt+he has beaten truly good names+he has shown that he can adapt to different styles at the pros and be victorious.Kovalev is not Tarvoris Cloud.
Beterbiev has yet to test the waters of 12 rounds and always looks like a better version of Rakhim Chakhiev.Sure,Beterbiev can punch like a mule, but so can Kovalev.Beterbiev wont go out with blazing guns and try to overpower Kovalev.
He will up his game bit by bit but by then Kovalev will have won the mayority of rounds so that Beterbiev needs to go for the ko which he wont be able to score.
    Kovalev by point decision.
Am I sure that Beterbiev will lose ??? Nah! Not at all,but my gut feeling tells me to put my money on Kovalev. He is the better boxer, has more experiecne at the pros, has become the king of his hill.Beterbiev will have to climb up to Kovalev's castle.
    Kovalev will hold the castle:D

Really? What did they sign actually? It seems to me that Ward is just stalling to milk more money from Jay Z and HBO for fighting bums

Isn't Yakutsk like in Siberia whereas Beter is Chechen/Dagestani?
