Yes a fighter can have more then one manager. A manager is entitled to take 33 1/3%. As long as the total doesnt exceed 33 1/3, he can have as many managers they will just share the %.
Sometimes managers lack money, contacts, knowledge so they bring in somebody to help out. You are right it can complicate things, it happened to me, I brought in a money guy, after awhile the money guy thought he was in charge the guy had no experience in boxing, but since he was providing money that he should have more say and the final say on things. It became a battle and finally we had to get rid of him, which we did. A fighter who brings somebody to help out in managing him should always stipulate that he has the final say on all things boxing.

Here comes a fight to watch..
Khan vs. Canelo ,i guess its an opportunity for Khan to roll the dice now that he got the opportunity, and maybe get lucky and come out winning..i personally dont see how he can win.I think Canelo's power is gona be waayyy too much for Khan,i put more value on a guy with punching strenght/power(that knows how to fight)-than a fighter that relies just on speed.
The way i see it Khan might get rocked starting late first rnd..i see the fight ending similar to Kirkland/Canelo..khan going down 2-3 times-dont see the fight going more than 8rnds..(6rnds my guess).
This fight for Canelo=good$ and low risk fight.
For Khan=good $(#1)..and An opportunity to finally elevate his career if he gets lucky and somehow wins.
Only my prediction and how i see it..
..👍 i might be way off -anyways,should be an exciting fight!

Demps-when a fighter becomes champ in his weight division, how long does he have until he has to face the #1 ranked in that division?.do the organizations put a certain time limit?
..also,who dictates who hes gonna fight next?..is it a decision made by him and his managers?..by the organization???

.would you've said -ok-to take it if Khan was your fighter?..why?..why not
    Thnx

    Ok...i do see your point
I think Khan was just tired of people looking at him just like an 'ok' fighter..and needed something big,he needed an ! Point.(thats also what i felt he needed)
I dont think ive seen Brooks fight..but i think going your way--Khan fighting Brook first, would've been the more careful way to go & wouldve elevated him and put more anticipation(= more $) on Canelo/Khan..

..I did see alot of mistakes(IMO) in Khans training camp.
First of all i would definitely tell my fighter to stop making those sounds with his mouth when he punches..
I think that only gives a fighter a false sense of security-thinking he punches harder than he really does..sure it sounds pretty-but not the reality..only sound should come from him landing hard punches(even if just hitting the mitts or bag)
Second-i dont know if you have seen it.
.when he (Khan) comes in with combinations he has a tendency to 'Paw'with some punches(one of those punches is never gona hurt anybody and leaves himself volunarble).
..Khan hitting the mitts--2-3 punches and gets corrected 😕..Virgil pointed at his head like telling Khan..'think'..'think'
To me thats like putting your fighter
    down..almost suggesting his st #!$d..
These are just some small details.but over time they can add up and can slow a fighters progress.
..nothing against anybody.Khan is a good fighter,
This is just how i see it.
    Thnks 😊👍

Demps, would you take the fight this year (if Canelo was your fighter) against GGG?
..or would you advise him to get couple easier fights first to get easier money and also to creat more anticipation and get bigger payday?
Whats your point of view on this?
Kinda like playing the Mayweather/Paquiao fight.😳
    Lol.

I believe GBoy wants a big fight and is getting it. I would make GGG wait another year. GGG is 34yrs old. Canelo while having more fights has less experience then GGG. Canelo is being pushed, shoved into this fight. Abel Sanchez keeps needling Canelo. Like you mentioned tease the fight ala Pac and May.
In a way smaller way, my guy Saucedo, was offered a spot on the Crawford- Postol card fighting an unbeaten Mexican 22-0, 18ko's. I suggested it would be a throwaway on the Crawford card, cos Saucedo is not that well known and mostly cos the pay wouldn't be the same, by waiting maybe by the end of the year his purse would triple or more. You see there are advantages to waiting. I can see the hurry on the part of GGG and GBoy cos of GGG's age. Both GGG and Gboy has done a masterful job of baiting Canelo.

👍 got it..but there is also a chance one or the other might lose against another guy--and there goes the big purse right?..
I think Canelo is gonna expose GGG..
GGG in my opinion has way less skills than Canelo..
I just think theres a big chance GGG might lose ..if they dont make the fight happen with Canelo.

This was posted on a classic thread, I thought was good and could be applied here. BTW Saucedo won his 22nd in a row this past Saturday.

One of the reasons but not the only one is the trainers in those days had more experience cos fighters fought much more. The trainers back then had more experience under combat situations, learning and adapting to different styles and conditions. Do you think a trainer today would bite the ear of a fighter to get him to focus? Spider Kelly did in the early 1900's.
Trainers today for the most part don't have the knowledge or experience of the old timers.
I sat down with a HOF'r matchmaker, trying to find a trainer for a kid I manage. We went from the West coast to the East coast trying to come up with a name, believe or not that is a major problem today, no trainers. When I say no trainers, I mean guys who teach. There are plenty of trainers but very few teachers.
I have tried Freddie, and right now I am thinking of two Abel Sanchez and Robert Garcia. Sanchez I think is the better of the two. Freddie and Garcia have too many guys. Another reason trainers in the old days, did more one on one floorwork. Trainers today for the most part do mostly sparring and mittwork, and little one on one.

yes..there are aallot of trainers that just blow my mind with what they do/say to fighters in the middle of the fight(lying to the fighter, getting ****ed off with the fighter, slapping the fighter..etc.)..
But there have been awesome trainers lately..that in my opinion are best of the best--Teddy Atlas,Cuyo Hernandez,Freddie,Duva,Futch,EMMANUEL Steward(my #1pic)...etc.
You were looking for a trainer--.i agree- Abel Sanches..better trainer..
..there is also also Jesse Reid👍 demps--hes got a gym in LA..
Have not seen Saucedos last fight--will chek it out tonight.
