Not 'he's back now so let's enjoy what he brings' for me, he's a drug cheat and will remain one for this sport as long as he lives.

You can play other sports, but you don't 'play' boxing, you can seriously hurt your opponent as it is, the use of PED's should be a criminal offence as an attempted assault.

You take drugs in athletics as many have, and you can stop your opponent from winning a title or a medal, that's as bad as it gets. You take PED's in boxing and you could kill someone.

Hope the little scum bag gets a sustained beating every time he laces them up from now onwards. That goes for anyone found to be doping in boxing.

You realise the 'land of the free' is the home of cheating right? There's no level to which the good old U. S of A won't stoop to to try and win. History isn't on your side here.

Now get back under your bridge.

Not really because for manslaughter you go to jail nobody said he had to go to jail. I'm fairly certain the benefits outweigh the negatives or it wouldn't be banned. They should just have boxing for drug cheats as a seperate sport so it's a level playing field. Then he could go and box for the sbw ped title and I'd have no issues with that.

We don't live in a perfect world, sugar. The boy made a mistake and he was made to pay for it. He has been punished enough IMO.

Anyway if the case against him was so strong how come his 2 year ban was shortened to 18 months?

Perhaps there is some doubt about his guilt?

I meant he would lose out long term. I was responding to sugars claim that he might enjoy long term benefits from the PED. I think you'll find the long term prognosis is bad for steroid users, not good at all.

He's back on sky anyway it seems, so not EVERYBODY disapproves of him, obviously.

Personally I wish him well....and will continue to support him ....as long as there are no repeats of course. If he gets caught again, I say ban him too.

There is no doubt about his guilt. He ****ed dirty, ergo he's guilty.

    The brother line is just...embarrassing.

As for not supporting him if he cheats again, that's just silly. What difference does it make? Once a cheat, always a cheat.

Sky is a business I'm not sure morals come into boxing promoting. Id be surprised if some of his future potential opponents give him the time of day. With drug cheats I think the only fair ban is lifetime, especially in combat sport but everyone is entitled to their opinion I guess.he wasn't the most likeable guy before the cheating so I thing he will now be the guy people want to see lose from here on in. I wonder what his power will be like as it was questionable when he was cheating....

I don't understand why they don't do polygraph tests as well at the top level. Seems fairly relaxed until your in a huge fight stricter testing is needed

Mainly because polygraphs are a pile of ****. I could tell you I'm Christ come again and pass that test with the smallest of effort. The guy who invented the 'test' ended up being hugely ashamed of its use and condemned it as wholly unsafe.

What exactly is the testing regime anyway?
How often, how thorough is it in Britain?

One deterrent is to take a large amount of blood, hair etc.....and keep it for ever, testing and retesting it every time a new test comes available.
That way fellas will know, that even if they can hide or mask their cheating from today's tests, the testers will eventually catch up to them. Even if they can bypass the current tests, a future test will catch them out. So a guy could be enjoying retirement in ten years, and the knock comes to his door.

Then they get stripped of their titles, sued to repay money, are left with nothing, penniless, discredited, life ruined, game over.
    That would stop em.
