Exactly this. They needed to negotiate who pays for shipping the belt to the correct address. DHL, FedEx, certified mail. Directly to GGG, to Loeffler, to Sanchez. Lots of negotiating needed to be done.

We'd have to see what the stipulations are: weight especially. Don't give a **** about purse splits as I don't get any of it.

He must have wanted to know if GGG was going to be at the gym or at home so someone would be available to receive the package.

everybody involved has said weight is no problem it's 160, both sides have said they are still working out venues and splits etc.
from the actual statements released by all involved Alvarez vacating was a first option so k2 and g boy could avoid a purse bid and negotiate without interference.

I can only hope the fight has a chance of happening. But clearly it won't be for the belts, meaning it'll be a catchweight.

GB had the whole theatrical performance with calling GGG into the ring and all those statements about wanting him written and carefully rehe****d. Everything including dropping the belt was planned.

More time would be the obvious answer, K2, Golden Boy, WBC, even the WBA all say the fight is still being worked on for Sept. Considering that it seems the best thing to do is see how it all plays out, instead of overreacting which for fans is a hard thing to do.
