Eubanks did seek publicity post Blackwell being in a coma and that is wrong. However here are a couple of Blackwell statements from the interview:

-“If I could have one more knockout shot, I’d love to land it on the jaw of Chris Eubank,”
    - “Chris Jnr was asked later if he’d pick the belt or my health. He refused to answer. I’m not being funny, but someone’s health and life is more important.”
    - “The night of the fight he went partying. He was celebrating. You’ve won the title, fine, you can go out and celebrate. I would have wanted to go to the hospital and be by his side until he woke up.”

Blackwell doesn't come across particularly well either sadly.

This is surprising, I thought better of Nick than this. losers butthurt at its worst. The Eubanks, whatever you think of them, were very quiet and reserved after the fight

Yeah that's absolute nonsense, Eubank Sr. Knew his son was never going to wobble Blackwell with head shots, the suggestion to go to the body was tactical to try and get him out of there.

The board also "begged"/advised the Eubanks not to hold the presser as well- a simple statement and explanation of their stance would have sufficed until he woke from his coma.

I can remember at the time the video of Eubank advising his son not to target Blackwell's head went viral which needed explaining but again a statement would have sufficed.

We don't know what went on between Blackwell's family and the Eubanks but I think it's wrong to go against the board's advice.

Its unfortunate what happened to blackwell but this sums up his character, even when taking a beating like that in the ring, his ego, hatred, anger etc won't allow him to call it a day,I feel the same thing is happening in that article to some extent.

After such a tragic event just be happy you have come out with the ability to live a normal life outside boxing, still being bitter and having hate and anger towards the eubanks over this is pretty pathetic.

Overall i feel the eubanks have been very respectful towards him. Weather the presser was against his familys wishes or not its really not a big deal, nothing they said was disrespectful or damming, be the bigger people why be bitter and twisted over it things could have been A LOT worse.

Saying if you had one more KO punch you would land it on eubank sr just shows your character is no more morally higher than theirs. This sounds like a case of a sore looser to me.

So what if the Eubanks held a press conference after all he did inflict the damage to Nick so he as every right to speak out more interested in what Eubank meant by saying in a tweet that he had something to give Nick and can he bring it to the hospital..like hell did Snr save save Nick by telling Chris go to the body might have something to do with those head shots were having little effect..

I don't think Blackwell meant a lot of what he said in the interview. All this is about is cashing in while the story is still public interest- he probably got £50k for the newspaper stuff then maybe a bit more again for the TV interview. Good money to set him up for retirement and too good to turn down really, and I doubt the Eubanks begrudge him for it as it is just business. I wouldn't be too quick to judge Blackwell based on this one interview

Seems out of character to be honest.

But you do t know what goes on behind the scenes. Not many people like the Eubanks can't all be wrong

And that BS about go to the body lol that was biggest pile of **** I've heard. Coincidental and out of context completely

Gotta agree here. He's come across like a bitter little man here. It's not a good look.

The most likely answer here is that Nick Blackwell and the Eubanks are all as bad as each other.

Yep. Nick's canonisation seems to have been a tad premature.

It's medical fact, that after a trauma injury to the brain, some people can go through a temporary personality change, with increased anger and aggression often evident. I'm not claiming Nick's outburst is definitely down to this, but it could be an explanation as it seems out of character and out of context.

Nick is also coming out of the denial stage of accepting his boxing career is over and needs to direct that anger somewhere. Where better than at the man who caused it?

I don't think holding a press conference is being insensitive, despite the Blackwell family's apparent objection. To refuse to do a press conference could be seen as not caring. The Eubanks were dammed if they did and dammed if they didn't.
