GGGstans are ridiculously negative people. Almost absurd.

If Lara wants the fight the least he can do is contact Tom GGG promoter..:deal

I know that's asking to much :tired

GGG needs a big named opponent more than he needs to face the highest ranked contender.

Fighting Saunders or Jacobs likely doesn't move the needle in securing a Canelo bout.

Cotto makes the most sense in this regard.

Cotto will not fight Golovkin. I think Golovkin will either fight Jacobs or Saunders. He would prefer Saunders first because Saunders has the one belt Golovkin does not have yet, but if Jacobs wants the fight he will fight Jacobs first, then Saunders. El Pollo refuses to fight Golovkin.............

Comparing Jamell I think to Lemiuex both are the same level of proven, and realistically the win over Trout this weekend is better than any Lemieux has currently. Just based off potential and the fact going in we knew Dave was basically trash that is debatable.

Lara is actually the #1 JMW and between 154-60 Lara like him or not(I personally don't) has bern in with pretty much all the top JMWs during his tenure. Just based off comp Lara would deserve a shot over dang near all of GGGs resume.

Regarding Crawford we don't have to even use him Lara vs Mundaine or Lara vs Brook. Gonzalez is P4P #1 does je have to warn a shot a an Estrada rematch or Inoue if he moves up. The #1 JMW vs the #1-3 WW is a better fight than the #1JMW vs the #30 JMW.

I get what you're saying but your comparisons aren't valid. Lara isn't THE MAN at 154...he has one title and has no real significant wins besides Trout. Andrade, Smith, JRock, Cotto, and both Charlos could easily claim to be better than him. Lara can't just walk into a fight with the man at the higher division. The only way that could happen is if he was a Broner or Alvarez type...a fighter who can sell a fight and/or put on a good fight.

Gonzalez vs Inoue: Gonzalez is the man in his division and is P4P#1.
Gonzalez vs Estrada: They're in the same division, and that's a good fight.
Lara vs Brook: Since neither guy is the champ in their division, why not? Neither really has to earn a fight with the other.
Lara vs Mundine: I think they're the same division, but would anyone want to see it?

As I've said, why take a boring fight against a fighter who has no claim to a middleweight title shot? Lara can step up and beat a contender to earn a shot. If that's too much to ask maybe he should take care of 154 since there's so many other good fighters there.

And I think Lemiuex is pretty good. I'd pick him to beat Alvarez and possibly Lara. And comparing him to Charlo you still need to account for the weight class. Lemiuex as a middleweight is more credible than Charlo as a middleweight.

Khurtsidze just called him out. I expect we might see that fight next if no Lara fight. Jacobs and BJS aren't ready yet.:verysad

there are a bunch of very good 154 fights which is why lara prefers to stay there....but will go up for a big fish fight.....

lara has a good resume and a bunch of experience headling major network shows.....which most of the other guys in his division don't

hes the top rated guy in the division by espn and ring....that should be enough

and Lemieux stinks...they had to drag up a 154 guy in his comeback fight...a 154 guy that was stopped last time out

And if Lara stays at 154, puts some belts together, and becomes lineal champ, then a fight with the champ at 160 makes perfect sense.

Being the top rated guy in one weight class doesn't make you the top rated guy in the weight class above you. But being the man in a weight class gives you the right to challenge at a higher weight.

Better to knock out a nobody mandatory to hold onto the 3 belts than to fight Lara for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

You realize that GGG has 3 mandatories per year now? That means he's got no room in his schedule for anything but the WBO title, mandatory challengers, or big PPV fights (Alvarez or Cotto).

Best shot for Lara is to pick up the WBO or get in one of those mandatory spots.
