    Lara: "I keep calling, I get a dial-tone..."

Ward: "I called, the message said my phone was too heavy..."

Eubank Jr: "Can you take calls from overseas..."

Kurtsdize: "Abel, I've been calling, you must have blocked me because you didn't recognize the area code..."

Zurdo Ramirez: "Call me, please, but do I have to answer with my right hand?..."

Lara: GGG is my toughest fight out there

Eubank Jr. Is the target for his next fight last time I check troll.

Ward: it was so hard making 168

Hmmm maybe because you've always been a 175 pounder and that's why you fought in the amateurs at 178 lbs lol

So GGG should fight 175 pounders because he's just that damn good lol

He wasn't there by his choice, this was a favor for his friend Bakhtiyar Artayev and very importantly this was the only way to get in amateur national team for couple of events.

you do realize there is no 160 in the amateurs right? I goes from 152 to 165. Nice excuse tho.

So why was Ward at 178 in the Ams? Yould think 165 would've been a lot better for him....unless, of course, he was trying to duck GGG 😊

Same thing with Ward and Andre Dirrell.

There is no 168 in the amateurs either 165 - 178. Dirrell and Ward were the two best middleweights and title hopes for the team (and the only two who medaled), USABA wanted Dirrell at 165.

    BTW:

I think Ward was 171 the night he fought for Gold, if I remember right...

'"I don't have to go through any extremes to make weight," Ward said. "When I fought in the Olympics at 178 pounds, I was really about 170, 171 on a good day."

Gennady Golovkin is a Phenomina right now. Yet their are some questions, of course, because he hasn't MET the "top class names". YES! OF COURSE that David L. win was impressive (on two fronts aa. ggg looked "too sharp" bb. David showed extreme confidence on top of seemingly being improved! We seen him in highlight reel. Yup, the one KO loss, but other-than-that looking, "SCARRY"!) but, otherwise....? My FRIEND, Kassim Ouma I think...was one of his 'more difficult' tasks to date [Kassim was world class, & being a EX- champion]
It's GOOD for Boxing to have a "Good boy" (clean) like him on the Scene!
He SHOULDN'T be holding any "IBO". I've been a FAN for 50 years. WBC WBA IBF WBO -No more- "THAT" is a curse to YOU & ME as "FAN" to hold there. IBO is strictly a LEAGUE/FIVE USA STATES SECOND ECHELON TITLE & NOT EVEN THAT IN THEIR CASE BECAUSE......they won't even SUBJECT THEMSELVES!
    Owning IBO is "SELLING OUT".

I was joking in my post about Ward ducking GGG in the Ams, but this post here explains the reason logically. Not a bad strategy by team USA, especially considering Ward won gold and Dirrell went 1-1 with Golovkin, who won a silver

I think he was referring to GGG having the flu and flying down to South America then fighting Ouma within 24 hrs of arriving.
