i dont think Callum was meant to be on this bill so put him on a relatively short notice because the Dodson fight was off. It is a mis-match but why would you take risk's with your world title shot?
I can't wait for the commentary, they won't mention how small the opponent is, it's Sky so they will spin it the other way I can actually hear Halling "Smith is an absolute monster at 168, he looks like a cruiserweight in there"
Wow! That guy must have a heavy hung monster ****, cause he looks like a welterweight lol. Smith is gettin pinned down and bucked stupid by Argentine monster ****.
I agree with the sentiment of what you are saying, but huge mismatches are usually over before anyone's health is threatened. It's the close all-out wars which are the greatest risk of serious injury.
Was Hearn having problems shifting tickets and put Smith on the bill late to try attract more scouse interest?
Exactly. That's without the fact that Groves and Degale fought each other at a less advanced stage than Smith is. I've thought it a while; Sky Sports have the ability to build someone or something up to the point a mass hypnotism takes place and sane people lose touch with reality.
Calum Smith needs to be careful, that guy might be aiming for chest shots and nail him in the undercarriage.
Sean Dodd boxing on the undercard but not against Cardle. Cardle is boxing a 6 rounder tonight against a Croatian who has amassed some wins at the Joker Gym, Split. The guy is supposed to be a British champion yet is fighting selected opposition to improve Gallagher's win percentage.
To be fair to the opponent he looked in great physical shape at the weigh in. I was expecting a chubby Paul Smith type physique because he doesn't look like a SMW in clothes but he looked good. Not sure where the weight is coming from, must have some serious bone density.
