Here are the reasons why I think he is bad for boxing: 1. His ideology as in telling fighters to duck other fighters 2. Encourages fighters to let fights marinate 3. Protect the zero at all cost (Similar to the first point) thereby preventing great fights from being made 4. Fighters are adopting his ideology Don't get me wrong he is a GREAT business man (and boxer) but in doing so he has stablished a ridiculous precedent that everyone is now following which is delaying or preventing fights (case in point the Canelo vs GGG fiasco).
He's done what other fighters have done in the past except made a career long habit of doing it every time for the maximum possible gain.
Honestly speaking we can't hold it against him but if boxing diminishes more future boxers will make less so he is messing up the market for them. It wouldn't bother me as much if he at least wouldn't put it out there as if it were a good thing. Also his hypocrisy is kinda in the open now, what with the whole cleaning up the sport spill. Also it can believe boxing fans of all people justify this kind of behavior
