I'm enjoying this fight, I'd much rather have on these sort of fights before a big fight than a long line of mismatches involving the Matchroom usual suspects.

 

Good round, Farrell is clearly the better boxer of the two with the cleaner work, but he got caught by a clean right hand at the end and Yates could still be in with a shout but he appears to be fading.

 

Yeah, I am surprised Farrell is marking up that badly.

 

Make the most of this one because the next fight will be over in a round

 

Froch has been awful so far Yates domintated that round and it's much closer than his scorecard

Farrell by 2 for me. Just posted a thread, froch is a knob.

 

Farrell by two for me as well. Yates just lacks the power to be a proper pressure fighter, he's got a good engine on him and some skills but not enough to stay away from the jabs and combos from Farrell.

 

Farrell won the fight, that was entertaining, I really enjoyed it.

 

Difference is Farrell throws in threes and fours and Yates is reduced to potshotting.

 

I had Farrell by 3 rounds, good s**** by both fighters
