The best Avanesyan did was the 114-113 score it should have been a split draw, personally I thought Mosley edged it, but I was rooting for Mosley, regardless there were many rounds that were very close and hard to score. But it wasn't even close to 9-3 for Avanesyan, so from the POV yeah it kind of was a robbery.

Both of them would, I've never rated Avanesyan very highly and after to tonight I rate him even less.

Pretty sure he doesn't have to worry about that?

    Final Score
    Round 1 Mosley 10-9
    Round 2 Mosley 10-9
    Round 3 Mosley 10-9 Close
    Round 4 Avanesyan 10-9
    Round 5 Mosley 10-9 Close
    Round 6 Avanesyan 10-9 Close
    Round 7 Avanesyan 10-9
    Round 8 Mosley 10-9 Close
    Round 9 Avanesyan 10-9
    Round 10 Mosley 9-9
    Round 11 Mosley 10-9
    Round 12 Mosley 10-9

115-112 For Mosley even with the deduction.

Maybe an argument could be made for 114-113 Mosley, but no argument on planet earth could make it 117-111 for Avanesyan.

This is a rare match where many of the rare could legitimately be scored even.

Thank you for leading Mosley's retirement party here at ESB.
Mosley was in survival mode after the fourth, and hanging for dear life after the tenth.

His shots had absolutely no effect on Avanesyan, he was constantly one step behind the action and reacting to his oponnent's moves.
Avanesyan looked way too strong physically: he was faster, more precise and with equal or better power.

I think i could give 1 rd tops to Shane, maybe the first.

That should be retirement now for him, he's getting humiliated in there, the way Joppy humiliated and toyed with 44 year old Duran.

And if you think Mosley edged the 8th, ( where Avanesyan would have finished him had he 30 more seconds) you need to see an ophtalmologist ( and maybe a psy too) urgently, and stop doing RBR.

It's a close fight, not much of note in most rounds to separate either guy. So honestly the scorecards weren't horrible, which is strange saying that Mosley had a good argument he won. It's why 10-10 should happen more often.

Also, not a great fight really... not a lot of suspense, not a lot of action.. not a lot of much of anything entertainment wise.

It was a competitive fight, but IMO Mosley got hit clean too much to argue he won. It wasn’t that entertaining, but it wasn’t a total dud either. Kind of an “okay” fight, but considering Mosley’s 44 years old that’s still kind of impressive.

Avanesyan was a quality opponent, it was probably good that he won because do we really want to see Mosley fight the winner of Thurman / Porter?? Does anyone really think Mosley at this stage beats Thurman or Porter? I don’t think we need to see that, though Avanesyan fighting the winner of that fight may not be great either.

I’d rather see the winner of Thurman vs Porter fight someone else at WW, or have a rematch themselves if it’s a good fight.

Ive got to admit I was very surprised & pleased Ava got the win he deserved. Even Mosey himself admitted he lost. Mosely can thank Ava for beating him too as both Thurman & Porter would hurt him BAD!!
