Probably the worst three weight world champ that's ever existed.

    Embarrassing.

Bit it's OK for people to say Joshua is a World Champion get a grip.. Di Rocco is European level and Burns did get a easy World Title but he still had to win.. The Joshua fight was more of a mismatch. Burns is a 3 weight World title belt holder. He deserves respect nothing less

Thats why world titles don't mean sh it these days. There is just too many of them and any scrub can win it these days unfortunately.

I like ricky burns think hes a credit to the sport. But last nites been a bit of a joke tbh. The italian although game was pretty useless. For that fight to be for a world title diminishes a world title. Boxing now just aimed at the uneducated.

Sky and eddie although they ve brought boxing on leaps and bounds in the last few years...slowly becoming a sport you cant take seriously anymore.

Uk going on about how many world champions we ve got...but tbh it would be stupid to regard a world title as they once were. Practically giving them away if martin and di rocco,s anything to go by.

Routine win for ricky last nite. Glad to see him back. Also good to see boxing back up in scotland again.

I think the boxing on Sky TV and domestic offering on Boxnation has went rapidly downhill since the solo Matchroom deal with Sky.

90% of fights are shyte on Sky Sports and 90% of fights are still shyte on Sky Pay per Poo - the only difference is you pay extra for that shyte.

    Boxnation's domestic offering has collapsed.

We need Sky to offer a platform for all promoters.

Boxers make fights, titles make promoters feel like they are doing their fighters proud.....What with the Haye WWE show and that trash last night we really need to be careful for the sport in general. It won't be long before even the non boxing idiots that go and watch this trash get fed up with it too....then what will happen?

Should the WBO even count as a world title when frank is your promoter?

Cant agree more with the platform for all promoters. Also pretty much the whole post mate. What i was referring to was the way its marketed and the oppertunities out there for even pretty average british fighters etc. The amount of world champions etc. In that regard hearn has excelled. The access fans get to the boxers alone with things like ifilm really has came on. To think hearns been involved in some pretty big nites of boxing considering they ve not been in it all that long.

Probably not fair to say its been a total failure but it does become off putting the ppv,s and constantly trying to kid fans on etc. Still better than warr enn tbf. He done most of the same tricks anyway.

The idea of being a three-weight titleholder has lost much of its luster. It's why I only worry about who is undisputed champion, and there are only four of those around: Fury, Alvarez, Gonzalez, and Nietes.
