Lara vs Canelo could have went either way, media scores had a slight edge in favour of Canelo and polls on multiple forums seemed to match that also, definitely no robbery.

    Exactly this.

Frankly I don't give a rat's ass about Canelo anymore. The fight would have been a fun one, but Canelo went belly up and brought Golovkin his belt like a puta. So in my eyes GGG > Canelo right now.

Interesting what Abel Sanchez said about the fight:

'I thought Lara gave the fight away. He could have out-boxed Canelo easily, but chose to use “that” Cuban style the American public dislikes. Also, Canelo did not appear to have much on his punches, slapped his body shots, but he still won a VERY close one.'

Maybe you should make a thread about how sad it was to see a MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE HOLDER batter a glassed jawed Welterweight.

Go hammer Canelo for actually fighting smaller men, weaker men :good

Then I can take you seriously.

Im not defending Canelo fighting Khan, but theres no difference between a LMW wanting to fight a WW, and a MW wanting to fight a LMW, plastic belt or not.

Well apparently Canelo and GBP are insisting they want to fight Golovkin, Canelo said so after his last two fights "put the gloves back on and I'll fight him now".

That is hardly Golovkin chasing Canelo, Golovkin was mandatory and Canelo dropped his belt but is still insisting he wants to fight Golovkin.

Canelo weighs at the very least the same as Golovkin on fight night, there are claims on over the last few fights he has weighed more so that's hardly a "smaller man".

The fact is Canelo has been fighting at middleweight, the same weight as Golovkin, if you weigh over 154 you are a middleweight, there isn't a "Canelo weight".

As for Golovkin fans, well they have had to sit and listen to Canelo, GBP, Oscar, Hopkins and people on here say Canelo will not only fight Golovkin but beat him but then Canelo Ducks out so they are questioning it and asking for the fight they were promised by those people.

He is the smaller man. The fact he rehydrates more has nothing to do with how big he is. Carl Froch weighed the same as Golovkin on fight night. Are they the same size?

Semantics. He hasn't been fighting at proper MW, he's been fighting 1lb over LMW to bend the rules and rinse the title for all its worth.

Both guys are nitpicky about weight. The fight is not happening until Canelo decides once and for all to move up to MW. GGG just wants to backpedal at 160 facing no names, until a winnable money making fight comes his way. Canelo wants to shrink down to 155 and continue fighting in money making fights against big names and no names alike.

Canelo does NOT need GGG. All negotiations, even at 160, will favor Canelo or there will be no fight. Canelo can afford to wait it out until GGG starts to slide and shows more *****s in his armor. It will eventually happen. If Willie Monroe Jr. had enough power to match his heart, that would've been a much more competitive fight. Things being what they are, GGG was just too much for him.

There's no one at 154, 160 or 168 GGG can fight that would give him the monetary and noteriety boost of a Canelo fight.

They want this fight cuz Alverez and in particular Oscar has totally disrespected him and the belt. He wants to dish out a bit of punishment to Oscar and the only real way to do that is to smash up Canelo good time. Beat him to a pulp and outbox him and make him look like an idiot nobody.

Twice they wanted that fight so they could take the belt and twice Oscar made them wait with his "step aside and let this fight marinate, its going to be huge, and then the same old story again, GGG took his money and waited.

During all this Oscar and Canelo kept on claiming they will and want to fight GGG, and that they will beat him, talk about his resume and this that and th other. And then when it came time they just handed over the belt, no fight, thats that.

    No wonder everybody wants it.

Why do you guys want this fight so bad? It's a stupid, one sided matchup. And don't try to argue that it isn't. Almost everyone known to boxing is picking Golovkin as a heavy favorite. I am willing to bet my left nut that Vegas would have this fight AT LEAST 4:1. Sure, Canelo might bring a .50 caliber to this fight but Golovkin is bringing a fu*king Howitzer.

-Canelo is too small, re-hydrating to similar weight doesn't mean you're the same size. Canelo loses on reach also.
    -Canelo can't match the power
-Canelo can't match the skill, might be able to counter few times and push GGG back but no more than few flurries
-Canelo can't match the chin. Stevens and Lamieux caught Golovkin with very solid shots and he just walked through it.
-Canelo only has better hand speed

Stoppage by 8th. Easy work. I don't want to see that sh*t.

Bring Saunders, Jacobs, Ramirez, DeGale, Jack, Chavez Jr. I want to see how Golovkin handles fights on his back foot and when being pressed by bigger men from SMW.

Apart from the fact that Alvarez hasn't fought st LMW for over two years. It is as funny as calling Chavez Jr. a MW
