not trying to get a rise out of you but with the exception of martinez, moses(very very poor world champion) and crawford none of the other fighters ricky have faced during his career are world class. decent fighters yes but world class no:good

Ricky has become boring to watch. Predictable, overreached 1-2s

He's beaten one world level opponent. One. Yet is a three weight world champion.

Has there ever been a poorer three weight world champ?

You say Brophy was a great sparring partner for the likes of Paul Smith etc and we all saw how shockingly awful he was vs Groves.

Did you two actually work on a game plan or did you both agree that standing like a statue with your hands in front of your face was going to work?

billy is a fully paid up member of the 'joe gallagher shi+ gameplan and head movement is overrated' fan club:hey:hey

if billy spent more time evolving instead of thinking joe gallagher is the way forward and actually regressing as a coach then he wouldnt be losing all of his boxers:good

Ricky didn't work with a S&C under Billy and struggled to do the weight. Leaves to join a proper outfit and suddenly realises he can do it easily. Tells you all you need to know about Billy.

I know that Billy Martinez and Katsidis were good wins I am a fan of Ricky you missed the point of my post, I was quoting what other people were saying before those fights that both of them would beat Ricky.

That's true everyone on here expected katsitas and Martinez to destroy burns, people even had Mitchell to beat him or at least challenge him. Then when burns beats them they say the opponent was **** and was never really good anyways, you cant have it both ways, if burns is so **** then he would never have beaten half the people he did. Whilst I agree that di rocco was a poor opponent, ricky aint gonna turn down a chance to win a belt that can be used as a bargaining chip for him to get big fights and big paydays.

It's unfortunately the way of the modern sport.
How many of our world champions are actually the number 1 at their weight, actually the best?

Burns has been a turd for years now - I agree with Solaris it is a complete joke that he could be called a current world champ yet alone a 3 time one.
