If only Abel and GGG had realised this a year ago...

Quote below is from Abel Sanchez about GGG at 168. It's such a shame they only realised this after Ward moved up to 175, then they could have had the fight they craved and there would have been no need to offer a fight at 164 either. I bet Abel and Golovkin are sick to the core they only discovered he would be BETTER at 168 after the division's elite name moved up to LH. How unlucky can a boxer be, especially as he struggles to get top names to share the ring with him...

    ____________________________

Abel Sanchez, trainer of WBC/WBA/IBF/IBO middleweight world champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs), says his boxer is only going to be better when he moves up in weight to 168-pounds.

Golovkin's handlers are looking at several potential options at super middleweight in the near future, like WBO champion Gilberto Ramirez, IBF champion James DeGale, and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

While many anticipate Golovkin will face some of his biggest tests at 168, Sanchez feels there is nobody on the horizon at super middleweight who will trouble his fighter at the weight. When Golovkin moves up, Sanchez expects 'business as usual' with continued dominating performances.

"I see Golovkin being a better 168-pounds fighter than he is a middleweight. If and when he moves up, he’s going to be a much better fighter because I think he’s going to be able to slow his attack down because these guys will be a little bit slower, and he’ll be able to pin point a little better what he needs to do. I don’t think there’s anybody at 168-pounds that’s going to give him trouble either, it’s just a matter of getting more belts and moving on," Sanchez told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.

    Replace 168 with 164 and they're consistent.

Team Triple Duck has had NO intention whatsoever of fighting Ward. That was true when Ward was @ 168 and it's true NOW..

Nothing in the article contradicts what they've been saying all along. They still want to seek out all belts at 160 and eventually move up. Did you expect his trainer to say "sure, he dominates 160 but he sure is going to suck at 168!"?

Ward hasn't fought at 168 since 2013. Golovkin still fights at 160 in 2016.

    At 175 or 160?

Bear in mind Smith was dragged up in weight.

Notice how quick they are to jump in to any GGG related thread, within the first 3 posts

I check this site about 2, maybe 3 times a day, usually after work or on a break, but it's always the same ****. You could do some computering and I bet you'd find more posts/topics about GGG from people who claim to hate him, than you would his actual fans. It's unhealthy really, especially the people who post from their phone ALL DAY, mostly about one fighter (who they claim to hate). Thankfully the only time I have to read their drivel is when people quote them.

    :rofl

    Right.

Two 168lb'ers fighting @ LHW. And this is supposed to be news?

    LMFAO.

I gotta give you Bumlovkinites credit for putting up a good effort.
