    Yes, it's a mix of genetics/ family history, economic conditions post-retirement, avoiding food and substances that can expedite your demise and education.

    Knowing when to retire is a large factor as well. The medicine and surgery are much better today.

    I tend to think boxing for many years shortens life. How much depends on the punishment taken.
