Well they are reporting an inglorious ending for tennis star Maria Sharapova due to "Meldonium" (She is still HOT...u mmhumm:smooch)

USA reporter claimed this drug was not on the USA radar for some time but wildly used in Russia by athletes largely based on its one major side effect that increases endurance.

So now we have a dirty Boxer and Tennis star that are busted and both have ties to Russia. Not that there are not cheaters here in the states but I found this interesting based on the current events with Povetkin and Wilder

Sharapova was caught in mid january 2 weeks after the item was banned. it was a trace amount and it declared it was taken prior to the banning of the substance. this is very very old news lol

This is old news. She tested for it before Povetkin. The banning of this medicine/drug has greatly impacted Russian athletics. A quick search on Wikipedia and you will see that something like 200 athletes have tested positive for Meldonium since it became banned and 99 percent of the positives are from Russia or Easter Europe. Leads me to believe that this was a political move to punish Russia.
And if not clearly the athletes need more time for this to exit their system. Too many are failing.

the issue for povetkin is he ****ed clean
then ****ed dirty which leads people to thinking he took it after he knew it was illegal.

Sharapova was taking meldonium even during competitions as prescribed by her doctor for her constant colds and breathing problems.

yes it used to be a legal substance. it was banned in january. she was caught in the same month with a trace amount. it was impossible to prove that she illegally took the drug.

It's the other way around, Sharapova tested positive before Povetkin.
