Not quite sure what the Povetkin reference is for. It's not like I'm a fan of his. And nope, they didn't tell us anything other than that he deserves to be ranked in the top 15. As WBC champ I expect a little bit more from him than that. The top 10 are licking their lips at the thought of taking on Deontay and he claims the best he can dig up is shot to pieces, never that good anyway Chris A.
This version of Arreola has no chance, fighters cant miss Arreolas chin. For all Wilder's deficiencies, he is fleet footed and heavy handed and can fight that way for 12 rounds. I see him cranking Arreola with something big by the midrounds.
Yeah, Chris definitely seems like a straightforward guy. Despite his conditioning issues through the years I have always supported him. One other thing I forgot to mention though is that Wilder will only have to be wary of an Arreola bomb for the first few rounds as Chris seems to gas especially easily as of late. He does not have the time to get into great shape even if he were so inclined either. So, my thinking is that if Arreola can't get to Wilder early he will become a sitting duck for Wilder's jab and right hand. He will be out of breath, throwing a minimal amount of punches, and will basically be a walking heavy bag at that point. I hope I'm wrong, but that is what his recent performances seem to indicate.
Arreola has no chance of winning, none, zero, zip. Lets put it this way Arreola has a better chance showing up with a six pack than beating Wilder. Even prime Arreola only had a punchers chance, shot Arreola will be lucky to not get KO'ed quickly. I'm amazed the amount of deluded fans Arreola still has, he was a gate keeper in his prime and he's now just a journeymen. But even as a journeymen he can still get a title shot, mind boggling.
If Chris is still in the ring after 4 rds I'd be really surprised. Unless Wilder decides to play if safe... Can't see any other ending except Wilder by KO/TKO
31 KO's Chris has a "Punchers" chance...which is code for Wilder is going to box him cautiously intill he KO's him or Chris gases out and gets beat up. Wilder would have to make a mistake to allow Chris to land on him..Wilder is a bum beater and is hiding glass but he is good enough to use his height defensively against smaller men I expect nothing but a Wilder victory...but hey you never know in boxing.
