did emanuel stewart hurt wladimir more than he helped?

    wladimir used to be an offensive beast.i think Emanuel tinkered around to much with his style. he also got waaaay to much into the mans head.wladimir by nature has a diplomatic mindset.so I'm thinking Emanuel did a little to much tinkering and talking.ever hear the saying,you study long you study wrong?

    I hope to see the old (ray mercer a** wooping) wlad in his rematch with fury. :good

    He certainly changed his style. I'd say overall for the better but in matchups like vs Fury the "beast mode" Wlad would have been superior.

    no doubt wlad needed some help on defense, i'm just not sure manny was the right guy long term.that holding got a little out if hand

    Holding is the reason why Wlad lasted 10 years after his brother encouraged him to retire.

    Manny Stewart was the greatest thing to happen to Wlad's career.

    Steward's system allowed Wlad to outclass a whole generation of HW's. The problem is that the success of this system hinges on controlling DISTANCE, a difficult task against taller/longer/stronger opponents who come prepared with a gameplan...something that Wlad never faced until Fury.

    i'm thinking not really.you look at wlad pre Emanuel and you got a complete destroyer who brang pure excitement to boxing.yes he needed some defense help, but he needed slight touching up.roach was the man(should of stayed with him)i think emanuel tinkered to much and destroyed a great fighter.can ya just imagine how good wladimir could of been?think about it. without all Emanuel's TALKING and TALKING and 1,2 hold and 1,2 hold?

    in my oppinion he ruined a great fighter that could have been even greater.
