What's to be depressed about? He's the one that straight ran like a coward away from Povetkin even before the investigation was called. If he wanted to fight Povetkin, it would've been done. Look at Vargas/Salido. That's two fighters that wanted to fight. Wilder? Nah, he ran straight away.

He should've just waited for the second test, which was negative, and then fought.

The **** is it about the WBC postponing the fight (not Wilder) that people find so difficult to understand?

Even before anything happened, Wilder ran away and said he's never fighting Povetkin. We just had Vargas/Salido, and Vargas tested positive. It was also a WBC fight.

WBC no doubt told Wilder about the situation prior to issuing any public statements.

The Vargas situation is a little strange. Seems WBC stayed out of it and left it to the local commission to decide. Thing is though, there's a lot of recent precedent for deeming the meat excuse as legit. And Bandido's test was way ahead of the fight so there was more time to discuss how it was going to be dealt with.

The difference is Vargas tested negative in the weeks prior to the fight, while POOvetkin tested positive the week before.(notice there's no plural!):good

Only thing strange was that they both wanted the fight. Wilder wanted nothing to do with Povetkin.

If the wbc reorder the Povetkin fight without sanction then Wilder should be stripped and the title made vacant. You can't have this kind of ducking without agreement again. It was an ordered mandatory, if you walk away you better be on solid ground and Wilder will not be if no sanction is put on Povetkin. This is surely undisputable if Povetkin is cleared of all wrong doing.

Even if Potvetkin was carrying Mayweather-esque 5.9-1 TIE levels, Wilder's R hand was his only chance at victory.

Nothing changed b/c Potvetkin took a blood thinner.

I feel bad that this fight was delayed, but he could have told the WBC he was still gonna fight.

So, I feel sorry for fightfans. Not a lick for Wilder. :-(

Not a fan of this fight but it's a FN stay busy fight for a fighter who has already completed and paid for training camp:fire

I am okay with him staying busy and he will step up after this fight:deal

Wilder claiming depression is an excuse and cover story for his 'comfort pedding'.
