I don't know whether or not size will be a factor

If you look at Margarito's notable losses you have

    Paul Williams - 6ft1 southpaw
    Daniel Santos - 6ft southpaw
    Rodney Jones - 6ft1 southpaw

    Cotto is 5ft7 and orthodox

The power level is about even
What really matters here is the difference in SPEED
It amazed me how much quicker Cotto is than Margarito or anyone else on the last card......Cotto just keeps getting better!!!!

Cintron would have said the same thing about Jesse Feleciano. Honestly man, Kermit is a pretty shitty fighter on the inside and isn't an accurate barometer for this fight at all.

Yeah, this reminds me of the build up to Cotto-Mosley. When people said the only way to beat Shane was to be a taller, rangier opponent with a good jab, like Winky and Vernon.

the size difference can be a big advantage for Margo, but that Cotto can have other advantages that result in him winning the fight.

The glaring weaknesses Tony exposed in Kermit in their first match, were unknown prior to the bout. Cintron had only been truly tested by Teddy Reid up until that point, and had showed no signs of lacking mental or physical toughness.

I admit that for a short while my gut feeling was saying Cintron was gonna for once put it all together, and beat Tony in the rematch. But eventually, common sense prevailed and said that anyone who struggles with the pressure of Jesse Feleciano aint gonna beat Margarito. Also it helped when Teddy Atlas picked Kermit to win.

    Yup. :thumbsup

To be fair, Alfonso Gomez is about as intimidating as my friend's four year old daughter. I would fight him myself.

I wouldn't normally give Cotto stick but I have to for taking that fight, against an absolute tomato can.

The only reason why the bout lasted five rounds is because Cotto was taking the **** out of him.

I hadn't seen that much of Cintron, therefore kept my mouth shut - but one thing I did figure out was that he couldn't fight inside.

This pic best shows the height differential. It didn't look as apparent in the other photos I've seen. Either way, a 3 or 4 inch difference in height..isn't going to be the deciding factor in this fight. And is it me, or is Tony walking around heavier than he normally does? He looks kinda puffy in the face.

Height and size aren't going to matter in this fight ... I don't know if Cotto's going to fight small and i'm not sure if Margarito is going to fight tall.

But Margarito is the tallest fighter that Cotto has faced all his career ... and he's sure the most hard headed outside of LoveMore N'dou that he's fought.

Carlos Maussa, Cesar Bazan, and Kelson Pinto were all roughly the same height as Margarito.

I'm used to seeing Cotto look like the smaller man at the press conferences. By fight time, no doubt he'll look thicker than the lanky Marg

Wrong. They were all 5'10 1/2 or 5'11. Margarito is 5'11.
