Sr is probably demanding a new pair of trousers, some dashing boots, the magic mirror from Snow White so he can stand in from of it and pose "magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all", I can't actually hear Sr saying that with the lisp. Sr is probably also demanding a waxer, so they can shine his dome before he leaves the dressing room on fight night, also a genie in a bottle to grant him "fwee wishes". Basically I would bet my last penny Sr is holding this up.
I do think Jr actually wants the fight, but as N17 pointed out, Sr may say he wants what is best for his son but where negotiations are concerned he is becoming more of a hindrance than a help. Various promoters have brought up how difficult negotiations are and they still don't like getting any easier. An announcement was apparently going to come by the weekend, and still we wait.
Eddie's ''48 hours'' has become 9 days. Golovkin has again served his purpose as a distraction from another easy fight for one of his fighters. I personally don't believe anybody other than Golovkin and his team had any intention of making Golovkin vs Eubank a reality.

It pains me to say this, as I can't stand the Eubanks, but does anyone here think that behind all the exaggerated accent and hunting boots, Eubank Sr actually is doing what he thinks is best for the fighters in terms of contracts. It has been pointed out above that several promoters have said how difficult it is working with Sr, are they maybe just frustrated about not getting their own way so they make out that Eubank Sr is a big bad wolf who is stalling his son's career to apply pressure for him to give in. Eubank Sr has been around the game along time and will be well aware of the tricks that promoters try to play to line their own pockets. I think there is more to this than meets the eye, and I certainly wouldn't take Hearn's word over anyone else's at face value.
Pretty much says it all. That ''world title'' Eubank junior took everywhere with him was dropped immediately when Danny Jacobs' name came up.
