How many fights per year would you like to see from fighters?

Seems like 1-2 fights a year is the norm in the boxing world but in my mind, it's not enough, I wanna see more Kovalev fights per year, more GGG knockouts per year, etc, etc. For me, I want to see at least 4 fights a year from all my favorite fighters, 2 fights is not enough for me.

Some fighters like BJS, Ward and even Keith Thurman only fight like once a year. For Thurman, his nickname One Time is right, fights one time a year lol.

So with that said, would you like to see fighters fight more often? If so how many times per year is your preferred choice?

3-4 times for me. More when they are rising quickly through the ranks.

Preferrably 4 but never less than 3. 4 bouts a year as a standard for world class fighters would be great, with 5 or 6 being reasonable as after an easy tuneup a fighter should be able to get in the ring again after not much more than a month. De la Hoya fought 4 times in 1997 as one of the top draws in boxing.

Inactivity and playing chicken with potential opponents has become outrageous and is the biggest problem with boxing today. That we can have a 3 month dry spell without a top matchup like we're getting now is why boxing won't be as big as it should be.

I would like promising fighters to start facing eachothers in their early 20's going thru multiplie and severe concussions and retire before their 30's.

The best should always fight the best - not the rest!

I would like fighters to get permanently brain damaged before they even have reahed their primes!

Knock outs, blood and scandals are the truth for the mainstream media and general public!

It's all about selling them tickets!

Prospects should fight every month coming up. Established pros should fight 3-4 times/yr.

I selected 3-4, was happy to see that it seems popular... wasn't sure what others were going to say. A good mix between staying active and not overdoing it.

5-6 against QUALITY opponents. Guys in the past fought 12-25 times per year but a lot of those were against less than mediocre opponents but a few of those were against great fighters. Sugar Ray lost to Lamotta and turned around and fought him 2 weeks later! The more a fighter is in the ring the less they are going to get ring rust simple as that. 5-6 times per year would bring us better/tougher fighters and more trilogies. More great fights!

    4 at the bare MINIMUM!

This is honestly one of the things with current boxers I am most disappointed in. Ali almost always fought 3-4 times a year. Now you got guys fighting once or twice a year. This is the reason fighters nowadays won't be as good as back in the older days. Their resumes will simply never stack up if they only fight once or twice a year.

4-6 for the elite champions. 7-10 for the journeymen and contenders.

Yes there is some truth to that, it is not like other sports, the best fighting the best continously they will tear each other up
