Kovalev Golovkin Margarito Provotnikov Those guys & my old buddy Tex Cobb with me I'd go down any Bad Street USA
No. I'm not bashing him at all by saying that, people have to get in their head that saying someone isn't the GOAT or even current top 5 ANYTHING is not at all knocking them... what I think should happen is people need to get off his sausage. All I'm saying is he hasn't taking a risky fight at all yet - the first one he looks like he will take (Joseph Parker) is forced on him and team and it looks like Team Joshua are hoping to delay it a little, even then. There is simply no evidence to suggest he is fearless, so why call him a top 5? Joseph Parker has shown WAY more nuts so far, and I'm not suggesting he should be a top 5 either. Tyson Fury and Luis Ortiz would be the best arguments I can see in heavyweight right now.
I like GGG but he's right he should really move up he has no challenges at MW. I would put Brandon Rios above him personally for his willingness to move up divisions and take on the best.
Guys that don't get as much credit for their fearlessness as others: Trout,Bradley,N'Dam,Porter,Martirosyan
Golovkin is fearless based on what?. Social media terror and charging in head first against tomato cans?.
Id always put Malignaggi on these lists. He gets in with the absolute best fighters even though he has NO punch. If he cant outbox a guy, he knows he has to just stick in thre unti the end, often taking a beating. He has no "punchers chance"
Depends how you're defining fearless really. In terms of style? In terms of willingness to go in against bad odds? I think Porter deserves a shout either way.
Khan has to be in there, the man don't care who batters him anymore, he is happy to fight middleweights and risk his health if the money is good Lomachenko, handful of professional fights and is very willing to fight the very best. Nearly all fighters have to be fearless, they risk their lives and health every time they step in to the ring but those two were the first that sprang to my mind.
