Two possible outcomes. Tyson by KO if Bowe makes himself easy to hit.

Or Tyson decision if Bowe does a Bonecrusher or Tucker or Green etc. He had the size, strength and ability to lose a decision and avoid getting knocked out I believe.

 

Tyson KO, it would be brutal and competitive but can't really see any winner but Tyson.

Bowe wouldn't box him, he'd trade with him and he wouldnt clinch Tyson like so many others did to stop his combinations, he'd give Tyson too many chances to open up on him.

Bowe's uppercut and overall skills would give Tyson problems but I think Tyson's better chin would be the difference.

If they had met in the 90's Bowe would have won by late stoppage.

88 vs 92 is 50/50.

 

Bowe could make it difficult no doubt, even so I would take Tyson.

 

I'd lean towards that peak version of Tyson. But have no solid convictions about it. Bowe would definitely be a more formidable foe than Smith, Thomas, Tucker or anyone in that lot.

 

Tyson in a war. Probably a mid rounds stoppage.

Bowe is right there to be hit and Tyson hit quite a bit harder than Holyfield. In '88 he had very good speed, as well.

Tyson would need to slip the jab, though.

He showed against Tucker he could consistently slip the jab of a 6'5 fighter.

 

Tyson by a knockout...early rounds fireworks and 2-way action would give way to a brutal, one sided treatment of Bowe by Tyson, ending much like the Pinklon Thomas bout in round 7 or 8.

 

While I can see why so many pick Tyson by KO, and have done so myself earlier, I actually like Bowe here. He would possibly have been the best jabber Tyson ever met, at least next to Douglas (Holmes was too rusty and past prime) and he definitely would have had the best uppercut in close.

I actually think he could have done a job on Mike there and that's why I like his chances. Not many took the initiative against Tyson in close, but when it happened Mike didn't seem comfortable. And he was not a bad mid-range fighter either and was probably somewhat stronger mentally. Just no quit in him. And great stamina to boot.

Mike must either stop inside 5 or have him in a bad way by then. If it turns into an attrition slugfest I feel pretty confident Bowe will emerge the winner.
