    1) The sports biggest star, Mayweather, wants to fight an MMA'er
    2) Canelo won't face his nearest rival, but is willing to face a WW.
    3) NOBODY wants Golovkin, so a WW, who also can't get a fight has to fight him.

Boxing, and you can give it all you want about the up & coming stars like Loma etc, is a circus act now.

Bar the likes of Loma, NOBODY wants to face the best any more.

Look at Wilder: Complete and utter joke of a champion with a paper thin resume for, not only THE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP, but for someone with as many fights as he has.

Canelo: Happy to fight at MW, yet when he has to face the unofficial champ of the division, he wants it at 154 (which is LIGHT Middle, Saul).

    F*ck Boxing.

I think the future will be at heavyweight, a lot of good young-ish stars there.

Its shocking right now. Never in the history of this sport has it been so easy to avoid opposition, catchweights are out of control as are the use of performance enhancers.

At some point to save this sport something will have to be done about big fights or good fights not being made but it wont be for a while and we have a good few more years of this circus yet.

And its all just about money. I feel Wilder, Canelo, GGG and many many others left to their own devices would be mixing it up with the best, but they have teams behind them who are playing chess with their fighters careers trying to squeeze the most cash out of them and they have no idea of pride and sporting accomplishment, its only ever about the money and they are constantly in the ears of their fighters working their vocal bollox and trying to convince thier fighters that the chess moves they are making or what is best for their careers.

    This!

Boxing is very sad at the moment. At least there is always Kovalev vs Ward if that fight manages to stay scheduled.
