Not even in the early stages. Khan is going to sleep in round 1.

GGG is MUCH better at cutting off the ring than Canelo, has better stamina, hits harder, has a better jab, better timing, and would laugh at Khan's punches.

Khan wouldn't make it past the first round.

Apples to Oranges. If Canelo was allowed to weigh 160 for Khan, Khan may not have made it out of the 1st round vs Canelo either.

If Khan fought GG with GG having to weigh-in at 155, who knows GG might be so drained that he wouldn’t have the strength to catch Khan, and Khan does his thing en route to a UD.

GG may have more punching power at 160 than Canelo has at 154/155, but he hasn’t proven that he has the speed and boxing skill to time a guy like Khan with the feint / punch that Canelo was able to land on Khan.

Boxing at this level isn’t rock n sock em robots. GG has 5-6 more lbs of muscle than Canelo, but Canelo is more skilled, and has shown himself to be more elusive and vs Khan showed that he can feint and psyche out opponents in ways that GG hasn’t shown himself able to do thus far.

Also Khan’s stock is at a low now after getting KO’d by Canelo. If Khan fought GG now, he’d have no confidence and probably would get KO’d again. Remember what happened to Ricky Hatton, he got stopped by Floyd after going many rounds, but then Pac-Man KO’d him much quicker. When you get KO’d, you lose your confidence and your chances of getting KO’d again can increase dramatically especially if you get in there vs a big puncher at a much higher weight.

Seriously could it really be worse than that KO from Alvarez? I mean Khan was knocked clean out by Canelo with one punch. I can’t imagine Khan being knocked out more brutally than that. As great as a power puncher as GG may be, and even if the fight were at 160, I can’t see how GG could knock out Khan as badly as Canelo did!

GG would have to knock Khan out of the literal ring with Khan lying on the announce table snoring and slobbering all over Jim Lampley for it to be worse than how he got brutalized by Canelo. I mean, you’re just assuming that GG would KO Khan worse than Canelo did and I just don’t buy it. He may stop Khan, he may hurt Khan, but I doubt it will be as artful or as Brutal as Canelo’s KO of Khan.

 

Khan doesn't deserve a shot at GGG, he is the biggest bum in the boxing world and needs to retire.
