    You said khan fought better names then brook so that means he is better thats stupid logic

    ortiz/berto/khan all have fought better names then brook and spence but everyone who knows boxing knows they would get stopped by these guys

    before porter fought paulie he never fought anyone and paulie fought the "names" but did that save him in a fight?

    He's taking the chance to prove it now. Moving up 2 weight classes and beating GGG would be a win up there with the best of them.

    Yea but in the cases cited those fighter were 1. Established greats, 2. Had won titles in every division up to MW.
    Brook is barely a WW Champ and has one noteworthy win in 30+ fight's.

    While Brook isn't nearly as good as those legends, neither is Golovkin as good as the middleweights he is being compared to.

    Actually if you read correctly I was showing difference between fighters moving up how it relates to Brook moving up.
    Right now Ortiz and Berto are old and shot I'd pick every top WW to beat them, Khan-Brook is a 50-50 fight and Spence would probably beat Brook and Khan.
    Stop trying to be an idiot dude just to give GGG a pass.

    I'm not disagreeing at all. I don't even like Brook and Golovkin is going to destroy him and this is a ridiculous fight

    Which is why I don't think its THAT bad Brook is unproven just like Golovkin and it would be the best opponent for both which is embarrassing for one side and big for the other.

    This fight is absolutely comparable to Canelo vs Khan.

    Also when people compare this fight to the other fights you mentioned, it's simply because of the eight difference. Nobody is saying Brook is as good as Marquez, Hearns etc. It doesn't matter anyway because as you basically said, Golovkin is no Floyd/Hagler.

    Yes, he is unproven. And your attempts at bringing up his amateur record in a discussion of professional boxing simply confirms that you're just another simple minded mentally ill GGG fanboy.

    The man is exploding into arenas as a 1/200 favorite against tomato cans and you consider that garbage proven?. How do you manage to consistently breath being that stupid?.

    Nah bro that's not what people are bringing up also in the fights being mentioned there was no weight difference.
    Like Hop-Hoya/Trinidad people are arguing does he get credit to make it similar saying they were WWs yet both were MW Champions that isn't the same.

    Also I said the Alvarez fight is most comparable as a cash grab but even then it was a 1 division move against a arguably better fighter.
    Again though guys move up all the time and as great as a PBF-JMM or Hagler-Leonard is compared to each other Golovkin and Brook compared to each other ate equally as unproven so it evens out to me.
