Its always exciting when two undefeateds face off. Rather see this than that canelo bore or nobank. Could be great. Its good to see Golovkin getting bold and making moves - the critics be damned. That's what he's gotta do. Be a spectacle.

None of those options. It's a last resort, lose-lose situation that can only lead to pyrrhic victory or humiliating defeat. The circumstances, that people like you like to pretend don't exist, are not in GGG's control.

This ain't no Khanelo. Brook is far, far bigger than Khan and doesn't have the chin of a 6 year old girl.

I think it's bad. He already gets criticised for his level of opposition, everybody saw how Canelo got criticised for fighting a smaller fighter.

Brook hasn't even fought at 154 let alone 160 has he? It's not even like he has cleaned out 147 with brutal knockouts.

Canelo got criticized by those who considered Khan to be a poor choice - a glass jawed victim of multiple KOs in possession of some mediocre boxing skills.

Brook is IBF Champ its a 10 lb rehydration clause under the IBF the most Brook is coming in is 157, Khan has been as high as 160 in the ring and has fought better comp at WW and overall than Brook.

:think good point. I believe the IBF second weigh in is the morning of the fight, though, so there's still plenty of time to rehydrate.

Yeah but you can be no more than 10lbs over weigh in weight, look at some of Brooks fight night weighs as a champ.
People saying he comes in 160+ is false although they are going by the IBF weight rules in this fight to even it out a bit.

    Pretty surprising.

But I guess it makes sense in hindsight.

Golovkin had two big fights completely fall out on him. And both were long, drawn out affairs. He must be exasperated and desperate at this point.

Frankly, Golovkin's career is pretty depressing. For one of greatest fighters ever, he's such a poor draw and really has no leverage in getting fights.

I can't blame you, Gennady. I hope this helps your career.

    But what a ****ing mismatch.

Notice the people saying it's a s.hi.t fight are the same ones always bashing GGG?

Who was Golovkin suppose to fight? Start negotiation with another promoter/fighter and wait at least a month more?

How about not dragging a guy 2 fking weight classes and meet them at the middle at 154? This is an absolute disgrace, and people who are defending Golovkin but criticized Canelo should slap themselves for being such hypocritical ****s.

Maybe start by putting pressure on his promoter to come up with a check for bigger fights.

Plenty of Golovkin fans have said it's a sh** fight because it is a sh** fight. The reasons and excuses don't change that fact.
