Most of those wouldn't be considered ducks if it was a fighter you like, but because it's GGG people will exaggerate the situation.
Half of those guys turned down GGG for the same excuses he uses but gets a pass for only GGG turns down good fighters and fights bums and other guys fight top fighters instead.

 

Honestly. I would Take Golovkin over that guy Colin Hayward, he's the only pro in history who is 19-1 and 12-1 at the same time!:deal I would love for Golovkin to wreck his ass!:deal

 

Hagler's walk around weight was 161lb and mainly fought when it was a same day weigh-in.

Golovkin is messing up Jacobs, Canelo and Saunders businesses quite utterly. Without Golovkin they would be talk as real champions, compared to past champions and hyped the next big thing in boxing. Instead, they are talked as the second tier champions or even contenders. And all this running isn´t helping their marketability a one bit. They probably hoped that Golovkin would move to 168, but the thing is Golovkin is not moving anywhere. They probably think they are minimizing the damage by not facing Golovkin, but time and money is running out fast. I would have chosen Lemieux rout - facing the lost in early stage of his career so that when Golovkin moves up, he can become a true champion who can say he will fight anybody.

They wont get the status of a champion afterwards either because it´s already proved they are not in the same class. Of course, nowdays promoters can sell everything by spreading disinformation, creating hype from nothing and so on, but IMO Canelo would make at least twice as much money without Golovkin reign, Jacobs could have a status of Jermain Taylor (2004) and Saunders could be hyped as a best champion of Britain. I think the hate towards Golovkin is more or less created by those promoters on loosers side.

 

I seems Golovkin is creating momentum in Britain so the money will be there for one or two fights a year in 2016, 2017 and 2018. So it makes Saunders situation even worse - He can´t pull Christina Eubanks nor can Christina. Looks like Canelo has choose to try and stay away middleweights for as long Golovkin is around or why else he is going down the weight? He already has the size of an average middleweight and he weights more than Golovkin. Jacobs is a mystery. He might take a loss if he faces top contenders at MW (Stevens, Rosado, Lemieux, Johnson, Heiland). IMO he should jump to Golovkin and take a payday. He would also return some respect from public by facing Golovkin.

Man, to ask for those numbers you NEED to have shown something before. You cannot ask for that after 35 years of tomato smashing. I laughed so hard reading that "jacob priced himself out", it's not jacob who's doing that. But gigi. You have fought 34 years in germany "sven ottke style", then you cannot demand such amount of money from fighters who really worked hard in the international scene and have their ppv fanbase. Because they are not going to accept that.

You cannot get those "55/45 canelo splits" and "6 millions dollars fights" by fighting nobodies. Deal with it.

Lemieux would fight him again in a minute. He is the only MW who has a chance of beating GGG. He had the wrong plan, and he is no coward.

 

Agreed. Lemieux is the ONLY top Mw with any ballz in the division. Big props to him and you have to respect him for that. I have more respect for Lemieux than the rest of the MW division put together.

Lemieux didn't have to take that fight straight after winning the IBF title, but did so to show he wasn't afraid. All the others are completely terrified of GGG and some are jumping divisions just to avoid him. I think it's unheard of in boxing history just how avoided he is. Tyson was feared, but at least he managed to get fights. Truly sad state of boxing.

I simply cannot understand how anyone can support Canelo, after his shame to Mexicans. I hope most people boycotts his next fight, and his PPV bombs spectacularly.

Jacobs and BJS are no better. They will wait until GGG moves up before calling him out.

 

First of all, irregardless of where Sven Ottke fought, look at his resume. He fought 95% of the best SMW of his time, and often times more than once, as well as fighters thought to be prospects and the next up and comers. I don't know where you folks get this about Ottke. I think that I do know actually, it's group think.

Actually I was even suprised that people knew who was he the first time I mentioned him. Srly, I thought nobody would remember who he was, maybe one or two german fans, that's all. Because of such a joke career.
