A prime Tyson beats prime Holyfield.

I give a prime Lewis the edge over prime Tyson. Not enough to be truly convinced though. I have it around 55/45 for Lennox.

 

I'm not so sure on that, Tyson came along at a period when the division was in complete disarray and at it's weakest quite possibly since the 50's, barring obviously Tyson himself, Witherspoon and Tucker would be my pick as the top two, both of whom were inconsistent at best. Tyson 86/88 was potentially great there's no doubting that but he was never tested during those years, not really...Douglas, Holyfield and Lewis proved he was nothing to get overly excited about. I do agree that peak Tyson would possibly have beaten Lewis, a little too much movement and firepower for the Brit althought i believe Holyfield would always have defeated him regardless, he was so dominant in both of their bouts that it would be extremely difficult to bet against him and lets not forget, it was Holyfield who was widely considered to be the more shop worn, whereas Tyson was coming off several impressive victories. I'm pro Tyson and a fan but after his initial dominance, better fighters came along in Holyfield, Bowe and Lewis....

 

Mike wins both by ko but Holyfield is the tougher fight.

 

I think he beats both. He really was that good during his peak.

 

Holyfield beats tyson every day and twice the sundays. Lewis is 50/50

Lewis gets brutally knocked out. Holyfield would be a tough fight but I'd give the edge to Tyson.

 

You're wrong if you think trying to win an Olympic Gold metal is meaningless and constitutes ducking.

If Tyson could have made the Olympic team he would have jumped at the opportunity.

Champions who have won Olympic metals include, Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Holyfield, Lewis and Wlad Klitschko.

Lewis vs Tyson in their primes, is a hard fight to call. Tyson has the speed, Lewis has the size and strength. Both can punch like hell. But is someone picks Tyson I don't really have a problem with that. Personally I think the tactics Lewis used when they actually fought would serve him pretty well.

 

Holyman would open up more than those guys and get stopped. He isn't the type of goy to survive just to lose on points.

 

Both beat him with ease. Which is why he paid Lewis step aside money, and waited until idiotic rumours about Holyfield having health problems were circulating before he faced Vander.

Both fighters possessed the kind of mental fortitude that Old Tomato spent years trying to instil in the freaks brain before he threw a 7.

And that is why both intimidated him from an early age, and always would have.

 

I agree that both would may have beaten him prime for prime, maybe not with ease however Foxy, lets not be biased you cowardly weasel of denial :deal
