The sanctioning committee stated that the first they heard of the bout was at the press conference. Not sanctioned because Brook never fought at middle weight before. To protect a fighter's health and the integrity of the sport. Jacobs is the Mandatory

If Brook wins the title would be vacated

Did they allow Broner to jump from light weight to face Malignaggi

Let me get this right...they're not stripping GGG pre-fight, but will instead wait for the outcome? How can you strip Brook if he beats GGG?!

The WBA are the worst organisation going.

Agree with the second part but why would they strip him? In their view, the Brook fight is a non-title contest and GGG is entitled to take those as long as he still fulfils any mandatory obligations.

It would be totally unfair to the 10 other WBA Middleweight world champions

The alphabet boys take any opportunity to strip a multiple belt holder so they can take the belt fully back under their control.
Look what the IBF did with Fury after beating Wlad they couldn't wait.
    No one should be surprised.

If Brook pulls off one of the greatest upsets in recent years then he has every right to take that WBA belt, what a ridiculas decision.

That is like saying you think dog **** is worse than cat ****...

But I guess as every other 'major' organization is the ******* offspring of the said WBA you are probably right!

As for the decision here, does Brook even care?! He would save himself some money in sanctioning fees and would be one of the hottest properties in Boxing with the win...

I find it funny that the terms for illegitimate and faeces are censored, but the most offensive term on my post (WBA) was not!

Brook cannot be stripped because the title will not be on the line.
WBA will collect zero fees from this fight. I actually think it's kinda fair.

All the belts are worthless, they're not championships that represent something just big leather belts with some gold coloured metal on them.

Belts definitely don't mean as much as they use to
