Anyone get the sense that Cotto/Margarito might be like PBF/Gatti?

I don't see it as a Floyd/Gatti fight. But I see Cotto winning convincingly. Now, trying to put Cotto and Gatti on the same level is just plain crazy. Gatti has the heart of a lion, no doubt. But his boxing abilities were C grade at his best. He did awesome fights against C and B fighters. But never really beat any class A fighter. Cotto would have KO prime Gatti in 3 rounds

Nobody is comparing the fighters just the type of outcome in a fight everyone thinks will be close..
Well it won't be, for a few rounds maybe but the beatdown Margo is in for is of epic proportion...
Now I like both fighters very well but Margo is simply one dimensional....Cotto is the total package, no doubt about it

    Cotto KO mid-late

The only way Margarito wins is if Cotto forgets to jab:yep

Dude, with all due respect, what the hell you're talking about. :patsch

Gatti is a glorified club fighter and should not be mentioned in the same sentence as Cotto. At 140 Cotto would **** Gatti, at 147, call the cops 'cause we would have first degree murder. Case in point, Gomez busted Gatti in 7 and you already know what Cotto did to Gomez.

Cotto stops Gatti at any point in his career. No ****ing way Gatti ever sees the final bell.

Not me. I think that Cotto is a class above Margarito, but from the looks of Margarito's last fight he can really take a punch. Either that or Cintron hits like a girl. I think Cotto will win this fight, but not before getting shook up a wee bit. I used to think Cotto had chin issues, but I haven't seen evidence of that for a few fights now. Margarito has a chance but I think it's a slim one.

Whats going to happen in this fight is that Cotto is going to consistently land beautiful, precise shots on Margarito's head and body, showcase the better defence avoiding most of Margarito's sloppy work and generally bust him up badly. Margarito will have a few moments just on style, maybe stun Cotto once, which is not a big deal, but will be throughly eaten alive here and stopped before 7 on accumulation damage, as he has no defence himself and Cotto is boxing's most serious punisher.

You cannot eat an array of Cotto's shots and not have a brutalised face here.

Do you think Margarito-Cotto is this era's Hagler-Hearns?

Coz the fights don't have much points in common...

Considering Mosely has better timing, better power and better speed, I'd say it'd be harder to run from Mosely if you're chinny and he's on the attack than slow ass Margarito with his sloppy work.

Margarito throws a lot of arm punches and mixes in a few bombs here and there, Cotto has an underrated defence and is probably one of the most precise hitters in the game.

Margarito also is a guy who cuts and bruises easily and has not proven a sturdy body, where Cotto likes to operate on the most. It should an easy nights work, with a few odd moments, for Miguel and Margarito's going to be messed up.

Tired of the Margarito train by the way, he's not a top fighter.

Definitely not. Judging by styles this one is going to be competitive and tough for both.
