Message on Scott Harrison's twitter feed:

"Scott's now back in Scotland! Happy to finally see Stacey and his 4 kids after a year in Spain!"

    A free man?

Oh by the way this is a question for ppl who care and not for ppl who don't care.
If you don't care than don't bother replying.

great news if that is true, i wasn't one to think he shouldn't have been punished for what he did over in spain but i also thought it was ridiculous that they freed him and then gave him another sentence :good

on another note i hope that he doesn't try and resume a professional career because it was evident that he had lost most of what he had in his prime the last time he boxed and being away again won't have helped him in this regard, hope you stay healthy scott but maybe you can just look towards passing on your wealth of experience to others now:good

The amount of views compared to replies says it all.

But good luck and sincere best wishes Scott for whatever path you choose, sorry to see you leave the sport forever if that is what you decide to do.

Hopefully you can get involved again, and pass on some of your knowledge and wisdom to others coming through.

The man is a mess. It won't be long until he's in trouble again.

agre, the guys has caused destruction through drink and drugs and people look for sympathy for him, really beyond me,how could a parent allow him to train there son/daughter? No role model is he?
Has stated only a matter of time before he's in the Bar L

Hopefully no comeback - he was a shadow of the great fighter he was before his most recent spell in prison.

The likes of Walsh would have never been in the same ring as him at his peak.

Look at Gazza mate - a sad shocking mess due to alcoholism.

Drug addiction and alcoholism are nasty diseases that certain people cannot defeat.

For the Real McCoy, he has found both of the above more difficult to defeat than becoming a World Champion.

    This +++

I am sure that if he is now a free man he will try and get a boxing licence.
Considering what we'd assume to be relative financial ruin and with four kids what choice does he have? None really.
It would appear he can stay on the comparative straight and narrow when training.
He'll get another Malta commission licence. They gave him one the last time when his criminal record was already pretty shocking.

    True.

I'd like to see him stay away but in truth what could he possibly do to make ends meet?

Scott knows how to fight and nothing else. No education, no transferable skills, nothing. Comes from a ****hole in Glasgow where opportunities are few and far between.

If he's not boxing it'll be straight back on the booze and whatever else he gets up to.

Very true summing up of Harrison's options as he is just shy of 39 years old.

The only offers he will get are a few quid for a comeback or money from a newspaper for his story of life inside again.

He should look to get a book published as he has a story to tell and try and rebuild a life with his family.
