I'm always happy to see more fights on TV to be honest, so this suits me. A website I contribute to seems to have a connection with the MGM Scottish setup so I can finally get a little more educated on the scene.
Agreed, apart from people posting on here about scottish boxing, I would probably only be aware of a handful of scottish boxers
To be honest No, i'd suspect it'd be Ricky Burns David Brophy Willie Limond Kris Carslaw Gary Cornish and Josh Taylor And that's only because they've fought on English shows
carslaw already schooled him when they fought in 2014 when they had an eliminator in glasgow . i dont see what would be different now as since then than has fought 4 journeymen in fights he won't have learnt anything from:good
And Carslaw was stopped with a jab from Williams - first fight was very good and competitive so I think the second would be the same and the result may even be different. Close though as neither is a puncher
we can't compare what liam williams did to carslaw and him rematching john thain. si have been told by someone close to kris that he never recovered from a punch in the first round and that was the main reason for the punch that stopped him and the fact that liam williams is a big puncher also:good as much as i admire john than for getting to the level he is at, he isn't beating kris carslaw any time soon and imo kris would win easier 2nd time round:good
Been totally out of touch with the Scottish scene for about 5-6 years now so this is all very interesting reading. Any good Scottish boxing sites/blogs worth reading to catch up on what's going on at the moment?
Basically Ronnie Clarke is the second coming of Sugar Ray Leonard and will end Michael Roberts Jr career mate.
Hahaah I am just kidding I rate Clarke and his team seem nice fellas, but you wouldn't know there was any other boxers in Scotland.
