Looks like there is more to this than I first though..

    Taken from the BBC website:

"British world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is to face a UK Anti-Doping (Ukad) charge over the presence of a banned substance.

Fury was provisionally suspended in June, though that has been lifted pending a hearing, Ukad has revealed.

The 27-year-old had said on Tuesday he would sue the organisation over allegations he used a performance-enhancing substance.

Fury's cousin and fellow boxer Hughie has also been charged.

The Sunday Mirror reported on 26 June that traces of banned substance nandrolone were found in a urine sample taken from Fury in February 2015.

He denied the claim and his legal team says the result of tests from March and May 2015 were contradictory.

Fury beat Wladimir Klitschko to win the WBA and WBO heavyweight titles in November.

    More to follow...

When Fury decided to take UKAD to court I suspected there would be more to this story. He was never going to win a court case for someone leaking a result as UKAD couldn't really be liable for any leak as a leak is in itself done without legal authority.

The timing of Fury's lawsuit was suspicious why wait until now when the leak was some time ago, it's clearly a preemptive lawsuit at the decision to charge Fury for doping.

Wlad will likely now request Fury to be stripped as him to be reinstated as champion which of course has wider ramifications.

That's what Fury insinuated with the news of the lawsuit against UKAD but there was never an official statement from UKAD. I think Fury was trying to spin the situation to make him look like the wronged party before an official statement was released.

    http://www.ukad.org.uk/news/article/UKAD-Statement-on-Tyson-and-Hughie-Fury

UKAD's official statement says they were informed of the charge on the 24th June so it's clear the lawsuit was in response to the charge.

    It's the same sample

Why have they been so late forthcoming with it?

Who else have they left out?

Are they incompetent at their jobs?

Why did it take so long to disclose?

Can they be trusted to be objective?

Are they protecting other more 'socially desirable' athletes?

Whatever the answers, UKAD have lost massive credibility in my eyes.

Nandrolone is a tricky substance when it comes to doping it's not so easy to confirm the guilt or innocence of an athlete which is why further investigations have to be done, which of course delays proceedings.

Look at what happened to Greg Rusedski when he tested positive for Nandrolone, he failed a test in July 2003 but it took 8 months for the investigation to be completed and his name cleared.

As for what they have left out that will have to wait until Fury has his hearing with the NADP. UKAD's policy on failed tests is to not release anything officially and keep everything confidential until the process has been completed as per article 7.3.5 of the UK anti doping rules.

Had there not been a leak we would of not been made aware of any failed tests until after Fury had completed his hearing with NADP and a final decision had been made. And the only reason an official statement was made by UKAD was because Fury waived his right to confidentiality with his lawsuit.

What objective would UKAD have other than keeping UK sport clean and free as possible from doping? They are an independent body funded by the government at tax payers expense, they could not profit from Fury failing a test.

Why do you think an independent body has any interest in the politics of sport? What do they have to gain or lose in Fury being champion?

Couldn't Fury just be doping? He's known for not being in shape, perhaps he needed help getting into shape. Hughie Fury is covered in acne as well, couldn't they just be cheats rather than there being some huge conspiracy.

Why hasn't BJS another outspoken gypsy champion who has made unpopular statements about women in the press not failed a test if there is a conspiracy?

man you twisted the news story around, the reason its back in the news is purely because he is now attempting to sue them.
