That pic looks to me both at their normal fighting weight GGG MW , Kell WW. Kell is going to be similar size when he is at 160.

 

Kell will probably settle at LMW (154 LB) so the way I see it (rightly or wrongly so) it's more of a MW v LMW.

The big problem for Kell is that he is jumping straight up to face the best MW and arguably a top 2/3 pound for pound fighters in the World.

 

Listen man, why is there even a debate. Brook is a big Welterweight, he could campaign at light middle at a push, But middleweight? He is clearly the smaller man. GGG is gona maul him. Lion vs Lamb. Anyone who thinks Brook stands a chance needs their head tested.

 

This kinda sums it up. For GGG it's one of his easier defences, for Brook it's an enormous step up in class and weight.

 

Yes GGG looks bigger but that is Brook as a ripped WW.

The bigger difference for me is like you said he doesn't put on a lot of weight in between fights its more his natural weight which means he will naturally be stronger.

Brook may still need to shed a few pounds which means he's putting on too much in between.

IMO the best in the world live the life.

 

Kells more solid looking, look at 3g's chicken legs compared to brook's. He's going to need those legs to stay upright as long as poss come fight night... lol

I like brook, I think he can do more than 3-4 rounds some here say... but can he win? Hmmmm, I doubt it but I do think he will hold his own for a while...

good point and very true, more to weight than only musculature. Bone density, width and frame, muscle density (not size) etc all play a part and GGG has a bigger reach than Brook.
GGG also has a wider frame for sure and I think is physically stronger than Kell despite not having his muscle shape.
Some of the strongest people look weaker than they actually are and can produce more power than people with more muscle p4p.

GGG is a brutal puncher and generates some extreme force, Kell is a strong puncher but not on GGG's level even if he does carry more muscle on his frame.

I'm a huge Brook fan...and I am ****ed off that he has wasted so much of his career due to Eddie Hearns' manipulation of the IBF rankings.

There are so many decent, winnable fights for Kell at 147...why fight the most dangerous guy at 160??

Is it because when Kell loses, the fight with Khan is still on the table (It would mean sod all at world level, but the UK fans would lap that bout up)?

I'd much rather see Kell fight Canelo!! He wouldn't beat Alvarez, but he'd have much more chance of beating Saul than he has beating GGG.

Would any of us be incredibly shocked if a "Brook injury sustained in training, etc" cancelled this bout...and lead us almost immediately to Khan-Brook negotiations?:think
