Roc and Duva can't pull this off. The one guy Roc had that had any clue on how to run the business, bailed. That should've been warning sign #1.

 

Its odd but it does seem that unless I am missing announcements that lately I dont think Wards fights have been confirmed until late on.
Smith I think was around 2 months
Barrera I think was a bit less
Brand I think was also less than 2 months
They to my knowledge all seem very short notice
I have thought this with Wilder also but may have missed announcements

Maybe the Kovalev fight wont be confirmed until around 6/7 weeks before the fight for some reason?

Yet, they have faced better competition and have more accomplished careers than some of your favorite fighters (GGG and Kovalev come to mind). And if Lil g isn't the definition of a diva I don't know wtf is. The guy won't friggin budge from 160 to take a sh!t even. Lol. Kovalev is not a diva. But, that Kovalev and Stevenson fight should have been made. I don't think it's all Team Stevenson's fault either.

Yes, Mayweather, Cotto, Canelo, and Ward are divaish. But, it's because they have made sacrifices along the way to earn the right to call some shots. I am not saying Ward is being a diva because he missed one poorly scheduled presser that he SAID he wasn't planning to attend. But, if he starts making unreasonable demands that sabotage this fight, I will have to concede that he has reached J-Lo diva status.

Sorry Ward fans but Kovalev is the A-side in this. Roc Nation has no right to make demands and expect them to happen.

Remember Ward and Kovalev had an agreement with their respective promoters to have the interim fights done by July 30, 2016, but Ward's handlers had to get an amendment in the contract saying he could take the fight a week later, on August 6th...!!!

 

His no show doesn't surprise me but him telling them to delay tickets sales is kinda sketchy.

Lil' g ducked Ward. And demanded Edwin Rodriquez come down to 164. But, he wanted Froch and JCC Jr all comfy at 168. He wouldn't budge to make that fight with Canelo (the lineal MW champion) at 155...or at least call his bluff. Hey..."give me my belt." And he is dragging Brook up from WW to 160. This guy is focking diva.
