Jesus man I was out buying some coffee. ^

It's historical significance (Resume wise). It was that great of a win. It's not about money or whatever. The DLH fight was not that significant in terms of resume building, it was a bridge for ppv success.

Hatton is lucky he got the decision against featherfisted Collazo, because he was REELING at the end of that one.

Ridiculous. Every fight was important in the sense, that Mayweather's career earnings were highly correlated to his undefeated record and without it, he likely wouldn't have made a fraction of what he earned in his career.

If Mayweather were to have been given a loss in his career, especially after receiving television exposure, it's likely he would not have been able to dictate the path of career to the extent he managed to do. For example, Mayweather would have had to face Margarito, who would have surely rendered him a loss.

    I just made some coffee.
So your definition of "importance" is resume building then? Hopkins-Tarver is more important then imo because Hopkins defied the odds and his resume hit heights nobody expected.
    Mayweather-Castillo II?

I was hoping Floyd would lose every time I watched him(That Gatti fight was a really long 8 rounds). That being said...Margarito is NOT beating no Floyd Mayweather Jr. 2009 Pac maybe, but certainly not Marg.

I'll definitely rank Hopkins/Trinidad in the same regions. That was a crazy win by Hopkins, 4-1 underdog I believe?

I think that was probably his finest win in his career.

    At least that's my opinion.

I think what made Mayweather/Hatton so special was that it was at the primes of both men, both undefeated, both with sublime skills.

Mayweather/Castillo 2 definitely deserves some praise. I say 1 was the better win.

Maragrito couldn't even Mosley and got brutally KOed. He had nothing for Floyd.

You are a joke. In the other thread someone made about Paul Williams coming back to fight Floyd (it was a funny joke), you got so butt hurt about it, but you can sit here and joke about Manny almost dying (it did appeared that way) in the ring.

Plus, the fight would've meant more for Money Floyd if it was at 140lbs where Hatton dominated and was known for the most.

The referee was terrible in this fight. Basically took away Hattons offence.
