first to say i follow boxing since an year and now i was watching record of Hughie Fury vs Fred Kassi online, so the match was interrupted at the 7th round cause hughie was bleeding and got cut, why then he got the win? In Mansour vs Brazeele , Mansour got similar problem but he lost, even he was leading on the cards, why now Hughie won? This way everyone can play 2-3 round, injured and win? What i miss?
I haven't watched the fight, so I can't tell exactly what the reason was, but if the cut/injury happend by an accidental headbud and the fight has to stopped because the guy can't fight no more, then it goes to the scorecards. When the cut/injury happend by a punch, and the person can't fight no more or has to stop, he loses the fight in a TKO despite winning on the scorecards, because it was a punch.
Fury's cut was from an accidental headbutt. If that happens before the end of the 4th round, fight is called a 'no contest'. After that, it goes to the cards. Mansour's cut (if you can call it that, he basically bit his tongue off) was from a punch. So Breazy won regardless of scorecards.
You need to watch barrera khan for an embarrassing blatant manipulation of this rule absolutely disgusting and khan and his fans live off it sad
