Should Wlad just retire and forget the Fury rematch?

All potential reward and minimal risk.

He gets another massive payday and a chance at reclaiming the title. It's a short list of fighters who've reclaimed the championship, and a shorter one of those who've done it at 40 or older (only Foreman's done it IIRC).

He loses and he's lost as a 40 year old against a guy in his prime. No biggie. That's usually how the sport works.

 

He should forget the Fury rematch, but only because Fury is likely to be banned.

The hearing I believe is planned for November, so even if they are cleared to fight Fury rematch may not happen until well into 2017. Would be better for Wlad to look at other options in the mean time.

 

Should pack it before he gets hurt.

 

If he looks bad then he should fight a few softies and retire.

 

Wlad needs a dosage of the Titan Formula to have a chance.

 

Win the belts then spread the titles apart by retiring from the sport... let's see who emerges from the ashes.

 

He should take a page out of the Russian training federation and ingest a bit of Melodonium. It's helped previously pudgy, sluggish, low stamina boxing slobs become superhuman wrecking machines late in their careers.

 

At this point if he wants to continue fighting he needs to just move on from Fury who has shown no desire for a rematch. Sitting like this is doing him no good. Try and get a fight with Joshua or Wilder.

 

Sure, if he wants to end his career on a KO loss.

 

Wlad is still a big puncher. If he lets his hands go he has a decent chance to pull this off. He also has a good chance to get his ass kicked properly. This is what fighters do. They stick around until the reality that they are washed up is pounded into them. Only time will tell if this is one fight too many.

He could, I think he wins the rematch. Hence why Fury is holding out. Too bad Vitali isn't around to shut the twirp Fury up.

 

They need to get this fight on as quick as possible. Wlad will be pushing 41 and Fury has that steroid hearing looming in Nov which could see him get a lengthy ban.

 

If Fury has a hearing for steroid abuse ( and is found guilty ), won't he be stripped of the titles and they be given back to Wlad?

That aside, if Fury is cleared to fight, Wlad Should go ahead with the rematch and show the first fight a mistake that Wlad can correct
