People criticize him but he's obviously effective because he's booked himself a place on the podium again and he holds victories over some of the best amateur SHWs in the world including such notable names as Medzihidov, Hrgovic, and Yoka. And what he lacks in finesse and technique he makes up for with workrate and constant pressure. He's got a great engine on him and he throws a lot of leather and he doesn't let up until the fight is over.

After an early sporting career which included rugby and athletes, Joyce began boxing at 22 after hitting a punching bag at his university gym for the first time. The orthodox fighter graduated with a degree in fine arts, and still regularly paints. Citing influences as diverse as Muhammad Ali, Lennox Lewis, Pablo Picasso and Vincent Van Gogh, Joyce won the Baku 2015 European Games, and earned six victories in Season V of the World Series of Boxing.
