If he can't beat Povetkin, he might as well retire. But I think Andrew is determined and he will fight to the death.

Yesterday on some other news sites, Povetkin's manager again reported that Povetkin might fight Golota.

I'm a fan of the unpredictable, lovable nutcase, but he has no chance against Povetkin. If you guys think this would be anything but a blowout early TKO win for Povetkin then you're in for a a surprise if the fight comes off. Don't let the Mollo performance fool you, Golota is nearly shot and Povetkin is a horrible style and overall opponent for him.

I can see Provetkin beating him by TKO too. Golota should avoid him. Golota has a much bigger chance beating Peter imo.

First we hear Golota may fight Peter for the WBC, then he may fight Meehan for a shot at the WBA, now we hear he may fight Povetkin for what may lead to a shot at the IBF/WBO.............LOL

But anyway, I think Golota would be a tough fight for Povetkin. I don't see Povetkin looking very good against Golota, even if Povetkin were to manage a win. I think it'd be a competitive fight.

    Go get him, GOLOTA!

Povetkin is all wrong for Golota. I would much rather see him with Peter or Valuev but not Povetkin. This guy's work rate is amazing. He won't gas out after 3 rounds like Mollo did. He goes after you all 12 rounds throwing all kinds of combinations. I don't see Golota knocking this guy out nor do I see Golota winning on points.

    Just see it for yourself

you also can't say he fought bums like Mollo. This guy knocked Byrd out and outpointed fast Eddy recently. This guy is real deal. I can't wait for his fight with Klitschko.

Povetkin is out of question. Nothing to gain.

    Thats a relief.

Its not that Golota couldn't win its that the risk is far too high for the reward.

Golota! Please just pick a damn opponent already! Hell, I'm ready to step in at this point just to keep him active. Although that might not be such a good idea as I would be KTFO in 2 seconds. But yea....at this point, he really needs to get int here with someone soon- even if is someone who he'll KO in 2 rounds.
