Old George Foreman was a porky too.
I guess he'd lose to any slightly-less-fat heavyweight too.

I probably don't know enough about the subject to rate one fat stocky man's physique against another fat stocky man's physique, so for those experts here, what makes Tua "a tank" and Galento a "porky"?
I mean, neither of them had an enviable look, just a couple of fat squat guys.
Galento was a bit more muscular, but then when Galento was in half-decent shape you could see he was a big strong mofo too.

I guess it really matters, because in boxing the man with the more "jacked" look always wins.

Didn't he get closer to the ultimate prize than Tua?

Can anyone honestly see Galento fighting at the pace Ike & Tua did?
He sure as hell never showed that kind of stamina & punch output so how in gods name is he supposed to win?

Tua ko1. Galento is completely outclassed and lacks all of the skills and physical gifts necessary to beat Tua.

Galento had great stamina and an even greater chin. I see Tua stopping him around the 10th but the fight is very hard and awkward for Tua.

To me this is one of those match ups that creates a paradox for me, because I have faith in Joe Louis being able to hang with any heavyweight in history but yet, Galento who floored Louis and did well for his era I just can't see lasting any length of time with someone like Tua. Tua KO 3

The version of the Lou Nova fight would have gone through all those guys.

There is only Rahman who was legitimately world class.
