Frampton - The U.K has 14 world champs, not all are legit!

It's terrible that a huge star like Carl frampton isn't on sky. It's hurting us fans in terms of getting a chance to see him easily and relatively cheaply and it's hurting his earnings too. Terrible. It's rare for a small country like Ireland to have a genuine world level star boxer. Who knows how long we may have to wait for another one.

 

It's funny that if quigg is so awful and has been gifted everything he is the only fighter to date to take Carl to a split decision and he did it with a broken jaw (yet he doesn't deserve a rematch and Cruz does). Frampton has an over inflated view of his self worth and it's because of mcguigan. He comes across as a really nice guy but because he's popular in Ireland he assumes he should get the same treatment worldwide. Unfortunately in the lower weights not that many people care that's life. Sky isn't the problem Carl it's Barry. Just realise it soon before it's too late

 

This 100%. Santa Cruz had only 1 fight previously at 126 lbs against Mares and the WBA sanctioned it with its worthless super title when they already 2 belt holders at the weight. So while we are all happy for Carl, he should think before he opens his mouth.

 

I don't see how Carl could be any more legit.. He has thoroughly beaten quigg and lsc. Who else has?

 

Eddie was doing a terrible job with Frampton. Since he left he has become one of the best fighters in the world, made good money, become a decent name in world boxing and slapped the **** outta a matchroom fighter on a PPV. Eddie would of just had him on AJ undercards.

There is a whole, big, boxing world outside of Matchroom & Sky Sports. Frampton is showing that. Well known amongst the casuals as well, more so than 99% of the Matchroom stable.

 

Complete and utter rubbish. If Carl had stayed with Hearn he'd have made a lot more in the Quigg fight and he'd have also been fighting on PPV vs Santa Cruz and would have earned a shed load more than he did.

 

That was a very easy to fight to score and the dissenting judge's card was ridiculous IMO. At best it showed an obvious bias to the Matchroom fighter at worse well I'll let you guess at what I think it suggested...

 

Quiggs own fault. He performed badly on the night. Biggest opportunity of his life .....and he blew it. If you want to see quigg v frampton 2 you are in a very very small minority. Nobody cares about quigg now. He may as well retire.

 

The UK wins whatever happens. We have 2 quality British fighters in Frampton and Quigg. Nice thinking though. :good

 

Nah, not for me. Look at Josh Warrington. You could call him a Frampton-lite in a lot of ways.

He's got a big Leeds fanbase, but not as big as Frampton's Irish fanbase. He's got some talent, but not a patch on Frampton. He's still headlining Sky shows and having his earning potential maximised.

If Frampton had stayed with Matchroom, he would be a PPV star only second to AJ. No doubt about it.

This is why he's ****ed off, he knows for his talent and appeal it's exactly what he deserves. He's not getting it and he can see other lesser fighters getting better opportunities.

The sooner he gets rid of McGuigan the better.

 

Let's be honest Frampton went for the weakest champion in Kiko and avoided Rigo. Alot of the people on here who claimed Quigg wasn't a real champion are now quick to champion Frampton as a two belt champion.

Apart from LSC, Frampton has had everything in his favour throughout his career.

Khan looked OK for 6 minutes and then hit hard and battered for 4 minutes, I remember all the Khan fans saying "but he was schooling Garcia until that lucky punch"

The rest are just top 5 in reality
